Double tap the direction you wanna run to? And heck, if it had to be the B Button (which would be more convenient for an angle-aim unless firing's all automatically calculated), you better have a long enough finger or some sort of... something.
And guessing we're just using the Wii Remote alone... I'm just playing Super Paper Mario for the practice (damn you Luvbi).
Yeah, they've said many times now that it's the Remote on it's side only. From what it sounds like this is due to their decision to try and make the controls a "NES Style" setup for the current generation. I remember reading about it in that Iwata Asks interview that someone posted here the other day.
Why don't they just REQUIRE that one wii classic controller to play, and just have a version of the that costs $x.xx more that's bundled with it? Playing without an analog stick will be crappy.
And what about switching between first and third person in between running around? I think it'll be a pain to have to switch from holding the remote sideways, quickly pointing the remote at the screen, and switching back.
Of course he/she hasn't played it - don't be silly. Of course it's an assumption - half of the discussion on this game is assumption until it comes out.
how do you know the gameplay will be crappy? did you already played the game?
or are you just assuming that it will be crappy?
Considering this is a speculation thread, I was speculating controls with a Wii remote (minus numchuck) would be something tricky to pull off well in a metroid game.

But an analog stick would ruin Sakamoto's ~artistic vision~!

it's called sarcasm, ma'am...
PS: there is a new "secret" commercial of metroid other M on gametrailers, but it plays at random, so you need to be lucky to see it...
I wouldn't be surprised if the Gravity Suit was back - it's pretty cool, and it's dumb to make another item that does the same thing but doesn't look as cool.
That doesn't look very old-schoolish to me. And why the color purple these days, instead of the old-school pink? Is it just because purple's more badass or something?

It doesn't look any less pink than Super's version to me...

Like most males, you're probably slightly color blind.
To me it's always been purple. The graphics on super metroids gravity suit had lots of lighter colours to give the appearence of reflection, which is probably why a lot of people think it looks kinda pink. Where as the graphics on the prime games are detailed enough to show reflection and you can still indentify the colour immediately. To me it's never really changed colour, only the design. Besides that's only the top half. I think with a full body shot it will look cool.
I think there could possibly be a colour blind thing with that super metroid gravity suit though. It's clearly purple to me.

It was always purple and purple is a better color anyway. Now if they'd just get the yellow out of there it'd be perfect.
There could be another use for the gravity suit rather than helping with water areas. They could be trying something new, you know!
But seriously, if they have gravity in there for whatever reason I'll be happy. Always liked the look better than the standard Varia when I was younger.
