Hey all,

I was wondering, what with all the shennanigans with the alterations between the Japanese and US/UK versions of MP1 in Trilogy, how many versions of MP1 actually exists?

Here's my reckoning, but please feel free to add if I've missed any...

NTSC Retail Demo
PAL Retail Demo
NTSC - First Release (0-00)
NTSC - Subtle Changes Edition (0-01)
NTSC Players Choice - Butchered Edition (0-02)
Korean - Crazy Ass Glitches Edition (0-30)
PAL - Europeans Didn't get a Choice Edition (0-00)
Japanese - More Voices Edition (0-00 too?)
Japanese Wii Remake - Gimped Dash-Jump Edition
US/UK Trilogy Edition - Retro's Two-Fingered Salute to the Sequence Breakers Edition

I make 10 versions with differences between them all. I've no idea if a Japanese retail demo is available anywhere, so I can't be sure on that one. Can anyone think of anymore that actually have any unique version differences in them?

Andrew

Seems like you got them all
I thought the JAP/EU versions were 99% the same?

99% certainly isn't the same though, is it? (Points to Geo Core ;) ).
Nice.. uh... naming system you got there.  Wink Certainly describes them well enough based on what I know of each version's differences.

While I am enjoying Trilogy, I am thankful for being able to go back to the original NA versions of each game whenever I want to do a proper speedun.
PAL 0-00 and PAL 0-01/0-02 (cant remember)

There's a players choice and normal version of the PAL game, no actual differences though.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
i think "player's choice" is a bit misleading since that branding doesn't equate to different version instantly.

there's only 1 PAL version according to the version differences page and i've seen games like SSBM where you can obtain 0-02 versions that have packaging identical to the original release.
it is just mere coincidence that the US 0-02 version appeared when the game went Player's Coice.
IIRC, there was a different version included in PAL PC, it just didn't have any changes.
I never heard of the Korean version with these crazy glitches before...now I'm curious.

Korean version + US save = LOLWTF
eu did indeed get player's choice, but it's still 0-00. actually the picture on the version differences version number page is of pal player's choice.

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up.
