To me, the right one is from a TV screen. The left one looks like my dirty GBA SP screen(I better clean it)

the image on the right is from an emulator (so about as close to "perfect" as one can get), while the one on the left has been through a gbp's analog output, an old vcr, and a digital capture device that interprets analog signals.

basically i take a great deal of pride in my perseverance in the name of proper proportionality. ;)

i should really show the steps along the way so you have an idea of what it took to produce the left image. hmm.

and alec, not much more that i know of, outside of buying $3294923490e+32 software suites from lucasarts or something.

you know, you can turn the image on the right into the image on the right with a blur filter and some other color/contrast/brightess filters in vdub. luckily, no one will ever be able to do anything about emulator slowdowns =)

ok, radix wanted a comparison of pre-vhs s-video to post-vhs composite; check it out.



top left is post vhs, bottom left is pre vhs s-video, right is emulator. check out how shitty my capture device is, or else how much the fact that the signal is analog for a while hurts the clarity. will be buying a new capture device for my birthday (20 may) to hopefully reduce the shittiness from the capturing stage for capturing future runs.

sweet. i get to go to germany (actually will already be there), but it has nothing to do with my birthday. ;P

my birthday historically means great stuff for sites i run, so keep your eyes peeled for tons of great things, especially as the summer drags on (more like flies by for me!).

i was referring to tph specifically, but i'm not sure how someone who's been around here as long as you could have missed that. :)

edit: nah, d.zero, sorry about this, but since they've been released on dvd, it would be really stupid for me to distribute the copies that i made from my vhs. this is the same answer i give to everyone who asks that question, sorry. :/

Well, it's also my graduation present, see.  And yeah, I'm gonna go to a few Smithsonians, Capitol, White House, WWII Memorial, some of the presidential memorials/monuments, and Arlington.
