Cool, thanks for the greeting man :}. Except I think that, despite having less than 100 strips, Maru Mari is still more popular than Planet Zebeth, so I'd be surprised if most people here even heard of me :P
It's really you!!! :D :D
Teh great Kabutroid! :D Welcome to the M2K2 forums man!
I've been thinking of making a fan comic at the ProjectJen Forums! :D :D
Yep, I'm slowly catching up on things. Next up... the bonus strips. We'll see how it comes along over the next week or so. I've still gotta work and whatnot y'know :P

Ahh, that makes more sense then. I haven't really been reading the recent posts, just skimming over them, so I was like "What the shit? Since when do other people make my agenda for me?" >__>

Hey, what does popularity prove? I can name 100 Trek sites way more popular than mine which all suck crap in comparison. (Sev Trek, I'm lookin' at you.)
When I said PZ rivals Maru Mari, I meant in quality, not in fanbase. Both strips are leaps and bounds ahead of the other Metroid comics I've seen. And if you're right and most m2k2ers haven't heard of you, then coming here was a smart move, because it's the quickest way to change that. :)
Yeah, it's either that, or a 'page cannot be displayed' message. It's basically up to Hiroshi or Cyrus to update their sections. Due to various server and hard drive crashes, I've lost the subsectors I had backed up :{
But yeah, the'll be up once Cyrus and Hiroshi upload their stuff. Kinda surprised they haven't done it yet honestly.
Or for that matter, he hasn't been around much at all. Alright, back on topic, why can't Houston either do Maru Mari or finish a playable demo of HBA? It seems silly that he hasn't gotten someone to help with Maru Mari already if he is going to be so busy with HBA as to not do it himself.
it's not as easy as it sounds to just get "someone to help." i think that if they actually did any work, it would end up partially their project, and i don't think that would be appropriate, especially in this case.
well, right, but he (usb)'s talking about just picking random people off the street and telling them "do this," "build this part of the game," etc, or at least that was the impression i got.

Houston said something about HBA, I think.
Ah, here it is.
Quote from Houston:
Quote from People:
When is a demo going to be / Will a demo be released?
There will be no playable demo. If we released a playable demo, people could be able to look through the files, or open the game in RM2K3 and spoil large ammounts of the game for themselves (and possibly other people.) HBA won't be released untill a final draft is ready to avoid spoiling the game in any way possible. We've released enough information already. If we release any more, there won't be a whole lot to "wow" you on your first time through.
Ah yes, but it doesn't mean that everyone else is incapable of doing that. Also, I wasn't talking about the game, let Houston do that himself, I was talking about someone taking over Maru Mari (or at least doing the comics while Houston writes the story) until Houston has some time free to do it himself. Also, I am not suggesting that I be put in this position, I'd be horrible at it.

There are a few programs i've head of that encrypt RM resources (the name plugger or "RM2K General Utility" springs to mind) but i dont know if thesewould be available anymore or work with RM2k3, you could always just create a seperate implementation of the game with any data not relevant to the demo removed?

I heard about such a thing too, a good while back. I intended to find a way to do it when I released HBA, because I didn't want people spoiling it for themselves.
In other news, I've once again totaly underestimated the ammount of work needed for HBA. :( Seriously, this project is so much work for one person, god himself will give me a cookie when I finish this.

I said somewhere, a while back, that if people think they can help, to please let me know. There's a lot of things I could use help with. Unfourtonately, it takes a decent to a large ammount of skill for much of what I need to be done.
And besides, Maru Mari without me doing it just isn't Maru Mari. There'll be cutscenes ingame that resemble the comic format of Maru Mari though.
