Ya know, I've been thinkin'... Houston can't go into the Impact Crater w/o the phazon suit, or he'd die.

Well, i thought of two different ideas for why both Samus and Houston have the phazon suit.

1st: The OP dies and Houston is to scared to move as it falls. Samus tries to save Houston but it falls on both her and Houston.

2nd: Fonzie appears from nowhere('Eeeeyyy!) and hits the OP in the back, causing it to fall on Samus and Houston.

Like 'em?

Mmm... not really. I'd think there'd be some sort of joke to make involving OP falling, and those are explainational, not funny. (Once Fonzie has become a recurring character, his mere prescense can't generate laughs. And he was killed, but then again, since when has continuity been a consideration?  :) )

Okay, okay, they're not that great i admit. If you put in some witty dialogue, it could then be funny. And if there would be a joke behind it, it would be funny.

I thought it was good at the time, though. And yes, seeing Fonzie too much would make it just stupid, not funny.

Should've thought it out more...

I can't believe it took me all this time to realize that Houston has a rope tied around him in the last panel. It's kinda hard to see against the black background.

Heh, I bet you're gonna miss getting away with no backgrounds in each panel.

What, did you not notice the weird brown line that was connected to Houston by some odd chance? Sure, the background is black, but i could see it fine.

poor Houston... I was reading the news at maru mari. Sucks that he has to do 50 hours for a play at school... my sympathy goes out to him completly. Crying or Very sad

It's just a bunch of stupid things showing up to remind Samus that Fake Kraid in Mother Brain's tank isn't the stupidest thing they've seen.

It kind of looses its funny once you explain it like that though. Kind of like Far Side.  :?

well, tomorrows my last day of classes (thursday) then its winter break. this means i will have time to do maru mari, and work on the maru mari secret project!

Well, I was out of town the past week, and I had to leave pretty suddenly (funeral  :( ) so we weren't able to make arrangements for while I was gone. A Christmas special is a good idea though... it's not too late, is it?  :)
