I believe a fairly good literal translation of maru mari is "ball of morphing." Nate can feel free to correct me on that one.

very hard to translate without using another foreign language you're probably not familiar with.

basically if you think of the word "processing," as in to move from one state to another, and then you thinking of the word "rounding" in a transitive sense, i.e. "to be processed into becoming round," you can get a feel for what it is.

A quick search seems to indicate "Maru" means "Round" and "Mari" means ball, so Maru Mari would be Round Ball.  Which sounds really stupid in English.

a quick glance at english seems to indicate that "valuable" is an adjective meaning "having value," and "in-" is a prefix meaning "not," as in "incomprehensible, invincible, inopportune," therefore "invaluable" means "not valuable."

I read the news, but I assumed it wasn't updated unless a comic update was there too. The fact that there's two strips on the main page, pushing the news off the bottom of the screen doesn't help...

BTW, is the answerer Houston the staff member or Houston the character in Maru Mari?
