miles said that dash isn't worth going for in single segment, and ended countless segmented attempts (requires floaty dash iirc)

That's probably the stupidest jump ever, and it's gonna be one hell of a turture, when i get there in my 100% redo run, it's even much much worse than Grand Abyss. (i tried that one for an hour and only got it a couple times!)
Game Lover
I need help. I don't remember if I asked this before, but...

I skipped the Dark Suit on Hyper Mode difficulty (so I'm playing the Trilogy version), and I just CAN'T beat the Boost Guardian. I've tried like twenty times, and I KNOW it's possible. Why? I remember beating Quadraxis on Hyper Mode difficulty before without the Dark Suit. Help?
Sorry, I know nothing of beating boost guardian in those circumstances. I do know there is some description on the site about a quick kill (normal mode), this might help you..

just try forcing him into the puddle form and afterwards being close to him so he stays in it, that will help you squeezing in a lot more damage, killing it way quicker, you can even 1 round it, though i imagine that being extremely difficult
How do you exactly do a bsj? I tried to do it to get the ammo expansion in central mining and couldnt get it, gave up and now I am trying for the early screw attack. I can get the camera trick down just fine. The game doesnt seem to want to give me the jump after the unmorph

if you're not getting the jump, you're not unmorphing early enough. the game treats you as if you're on grounded unmorphed state during the first 21 or 22 frames you go airborne in morph ball, so you have to do an instant unmorph and jump within that time frame.

also the 3BSJ in central mining for the ammo expansion is terrible. don't use it for practicing how to do a basic BSJ (if you are)

its the first 23 frames iirc
hello I´m pretty new and I am trying to get the early PB more consistant. My problems are that it usually takes me way too long to get that stupid ghetto jump and as soon as I jump into that part where you start to get oob I can´t move so I morph and try getting down there by bombing and fucking around stupidly long.
Do you have any tips or advice ?

Arbitrary MP2 categories only !
Is it possible to load Hive Dynamo Works through Central Hive Transport East ? I'm playing a Randomizer where I neither have Dark nor Annihilator Beam, and I wondered if I can get to that part of upper Hive

Pretty sure you can..
Arbitrary MP2 categories only !
I should mention that I tried for at least 45 minutes and I could not unload Culling Chamber. so it seems the loading/unloading trigger is somewhere Inbounds
It's been a while since I've logged on here, but I do so because I can't believe that I'm stuck. I just beat the Grapple Guardian and now I'm trying to get to the final Torvus Bog key and I can't access it because I can't reach the portal in Forgotten Bridge.  I need to reach that half circle platform but it's not lowered and I forgot how to get it lowered.  I remember there's a spinner mechanism nearby but it's in the hallway that I can't access because I don't have power bombs yet.  What am I missing?  I have Gravity Boost, Dark Burst and now the Grapple Beam.  Is there something in the Forgotten Bridge room that I'm supposed to scan to lower that platform and I'm simply missing it?

Help please.

theres a bomb slot in light aether you can activate to change the bridges position, if you dont want to scandash over.

Now, lets actually get to post this into the right thread:

an someone explain me how the chykka larva fight works? i never exactly knew when it's gonna jump out of the water or when hes gonna come onto the platform >_>

i'd also like to know when exactly the weak point is damageable. (if its damageable all the time or only on certain times besides if you havent scan it)
There's no bomb slot in light Aether, only in dark Aether, and the bridge is locked into position after you move it the first time.  Now the reason for my question is that I forgot all about the half pipe in the room with the giant tree.  I thought I needed powerbombs to knock out it's roots to create the half pipe in order for me to reach the upper level.  So imagine my confusion when I couldn't reach the spinner device on the other side of the cage in the Forgotten Bridge room.  It took me a lot of wandering around and some help from YouTube videos for me to see what I missed.

Where is the loading trigger for the Super Missile door in Hall of Eyes?

Edit: Nevermind I already found it.

Quote from Firenukes777:
How do you record any gameplay? I am curious about possibly streaming but I can't seem to find an explanation about how to record footage from the Gamecube.

You need a piece of hardware called a Capture Card, which acts as an intermediate device between your console, your PC, and your TV. The most popular cheap ones to start out with are the Dazzle DVC-100 and the EasyCap 116.

can anyone explain sanddigger to me ?
I can get it to the right position ez, but that peace of shit never wants to grab me. This shit digger just ignores me and goes ahead taking it´s stinky lines.
Is there anything you need to do to make it to grab you ?
Make sure you're destroying one head first. If you don't, it'll swap heads on you.

The distance of it charging is determined the moment it roars, so your positioning determines its charge distances until its roar. From here on out, you can do whatever you want (morph, roll, etc) to set it up. Personally, I stand slightly left of the intersection between the two circular shadows created by the bridge. You might find a different cue, but a lot of people use those two circular shadows as some sort of visual reference.

Another tip that some runners do (not me) is when it curls, they tap the other end of the sandigger to take damage. This means that you can roll straight into the active head without being bounced back, as long as you do it quickly, since you're still "flashing red" or whatever.

Personally I destroy a head, back out, then make it remerge again. I can't get miles/m177's method very consistent, so you can try that.

It's hard to explain this trick honestly, because everyone does it differently. It takes a lot of annoying experimentation and figuring out on your own, but hopefully these tips help. Good luck!
I was wondering if someone might be able to give me some advice towards attempting Item Loss Skip. I've watched Miles's tutorial but I've only managed to accomplish getting out of bounds once. The game crashes 99% of the time and in the exact same spot -- when boosting in-between the two crates. There are a couple of things that I'm doing that may be causing the crash, at least from comparing my attempts against the video. Anyway, here's what I'm doing.

After I get stuck in the wall and obtain infinite speed, I then need to boost out of the wall in order to get unstuck. However, every time I boost out of the wall I manage to destroy the two crates nearby (which Miles doesn't do in his video). I can't quite seem to figure out the inputs necessary to not destroy those crates, and I think they may be part of why the game keeps crashing (and I'm a little sick of reseting the game just because I can't figure out the inputs).

Afterwards, I follow his guide verbatim -- going back into the other room to de-load the room and then reload it before continuing towards the two crates in which i need to boost between. I hold up slightly on the control stick, medium boost, and then crash (screen goes black and eventually my wii resets and goes back to the boot menu).

Can anybody give me some advice as to how to keep crashes to a minimum? I know it has a high likelihood to crash, but i figure it definitely can be more consistent than the results I've managed to obtain. Anyway, thank you.
