not evil,just hungry
the easiest way is to do a ceiling warp.  continue to the room after the gate (dont fall down to the scan post).  Jump on the door then jump towards the empty space on the other side of the door.  The next room should load.  You can now ceiling warp into whatever room the map is not on.  to do this simply morph on the ceiling, press into a slant with the joystick (not always necessary), and hit unmorph.  You should drop into the room.  Move close to the door to reset the map to the correct room (otherwise you will crash when another room loads) and continue on your way.

ok so ive been messing around with random playthroughs of this game and just about every one is cut short due to the torvus transport access secret world, the one where u need to do a dash off the wasp hive and stay locked on to the wasp. no matter how many times i try i just CANNOT replicate anything i see in videos. how do u all make it look so easy?! is there like a super secret flick of the joystick or somethin im not doing cuz man, this is just about the only trick left in the game that stumps me... anybody have any advice???
secret.... world... 122.... whyyyyyyyyyy.......
MP2 also a bit MP1 speedrunning
well im also not really good in that one but i know that you have to angle your dash back.

ugh this is true pain good thing this wasnt a SS run from me ...
as you can see im far away from finnishing the annahilator skip and i played not that bad.
of course its improveable but i think without this platform warp which miles does its actually not possible..
and when im doing this warp i just get warped where i glitched into that tunnel.

i can do the terminal fall now.... but i need to practice it ugh...
Does the Ing Cache in Dark Oasis only appear if you beat Power Bomb Guardian?  Because there doesn't seem to be an Ing Cache where it normally is and I figure that's why Miles beats him in his any% run.

Do we know whether it's beating the Power Bomb Guardian or getting the Power Bombs that acts as the trigger?
You have to actually get the PBs, yeah.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
the dark oasis ing cache is going to become a meme. i've got people asking about it in some of my old vids too.
Is there time frame in which the torvus translator scan appears?  Because when I went to the temple after getting screw attack, super and seeker missiles, the translator scan didn't seem to be scanable.
You need to scan it twice, like this.
I scanned two different scans within it and neither of them gave me the scan.

Really? I've never had that happen to me with Torvus's. :\
Yeah, well I'm mostly following your run except I get annihilator beam and I get seekers and light suit before setting foot into torvus, so I take the back way into torvus from agon and get the key in the boost guardian room before going to torvus temple and gettings supers.  I tried getting the scan at the end of the game before going to great temple and getting the temple grounds keys, but there seemed to be only one scan then, so I thought I would be fine if I got the translator scan right after super missiles like you're supposed to, but it doesn't seem to be letting me get it for some reason.

are you playing on the european/australian version?
MP2 also a bit MP1 speedrunning
@DJGrenola i never had that problem and i played a lot with the PAL version i didn't find a difference between PAL and NTSC in this game at all.

then you didn't look hard enough. :p
It's NTSC.
all right, just seemed worth asking.
Has anyone done a SS run using ILS/come up with a SS route that DOESN'T involve doing Grand Abyss?

I want to do one, and I can do most of the tricks required, but Grand Abyss is such a pain (because nobody knew that), I am NOT doing it in a SS run. I was thinking about doing the start of Miles' 1:01 route, then kind of switching over to his 1:27 route, but I don't know how that would work out...

i think you could get 1:20-1:25 if youre good in a single segment.
That should work, I'll start some practice.. Although I wouldn't expect 1:05 - 1:10 from me anytime soon, I just bought the game a few days ago. I'll have to practice Annihilator skip a bunch, but other than that, that route should work well for me. Thanks.
Good luck!
Ok, Annihilator skip is a lot easier than I thought, so that's not an issue any more. Maybe I could skip Dark Suit. I also want to skip the pirate base in Agon, but that would involve skipping Amber Translator, which won't happen because SW 122 is impossible. :/
