if what the Dark Alpha Splinter allows you to get (the glowing blue orb that registers as alien technology) isn't the translator itself and can be skipped, what is it? what is it supposed to be for?
also how does one use sw's to skip quaddy and return the light and whatnot?
i need some advice on early WSA as well as the GA flying drone. for the flying drone it seems to me that i end up behind it. for WSA i've tried the dash off the door and rolljump, door dash being the only method that worked.
the weird thing is that back when i first few times did early WSA i didn't have too much of a problem. then again rolljump had a higher success rate back then too.
would wallcrawling to get early seekers before the "item loss" skip be faster than getting them the normal way?
hm, for WSA backwards, i've done it with roll jumps only. it could become inconsistent sometimes but the trick is to press B just a bit after unmorphing. too soon or too late and you won't get the jump. it seems to be more picky than BSJs so you should try different timings.
i think seekers first is faster overall since picking them up is a big detour at almost any other point of the game other than the start and the end.
For one thing, if you are rolling into WSA then the timing of the unmorph is earlier than if you start from inside the room (because of how the camera follows you).
Also, make sure you're releasing and pressing the L button very quickly after you press the B button or you won't get the speed (and therefore distance).

so would it be easier for me to roll into WSA or is it just a timing difference? i can get the rolljump to initiate, i just can't seem to get the distance. how long should i wait for the second jump?
any advice for the dash? sometimes when i'm impatient and frustrated by the dash i'll jump to the spot turn and dash off the door without the text box coming up. i actually managed to get across that way once
once i'm able to do WSA at least semi-consistently i'll be able to actually practice GA w/o grapple and eventually do a speed run
Timing your jumps for the double jump isn't the problem, as you have leeway. The most likely reason for not getting the distance. You'll definitely get the distance if you see the small cross-hairs in your sight. If you just see the "circle" then you won't get the distance. Also, releasing and re-pressing the L button as quickly as possible is vital to getting the distance (via speed).
It should be like this:
1. Morph 2. Hold R button down for the whole roll jump until you've landed 3. Roll over the edge (R held down) 4. (While R is held down): At the right moment do the following button combination very rapidly: Press X, B, then press L button 5. Do the double jump when you want to get the best distance.
that is when you use a ghetto jump while locked on to something far away with the scan visor. seems to be useful on the trilogy only since regular ghetto jumps were weakened but, for some reason, they still work like on GC if you do them while on the scan visor and locked on. that was one of the keys to skipping Gravity without boost ball and the 101% ghetto in the trilogy.
can you get teh seeker missles early with teh SW to skip loseing all you crap at teh start of the game... teh. (got to the room with teh seeker missle door cant find loading pont...).... teh sorry

Yes you can get them early... lol, you don't use teh loading point for teh seeker hissles, you use teh loading point for teh ball track.
For the SW 122. The one where you BSJ onto the war wasp hive and dash off of the wasp. I need to know how to lure the wasps way out over the terminal fall?
Look at the spot you want it to go to (holding L seems to help, maybe I'm just imagining it though). If it gets stuck by the door, get off the hive and lure it away from there.
