I need help with a secret world again.

Just an alt entrance. I was able to do it single stepping with Dolphin. (yeah, <_<) It's SW 111 without SA. I bomb jumped over the rail, got an instant morph, jumped, hit my head, but still made it to the window ledge with the second jump. Fell off trying to do one of those sticky wall bomb jumps. I never had luck with those on that wall though. Had to bomb, then unmorph after it went off to climb. If you make it you'll need to get some height then slide to the right past the window. (Sticky wall bomb jumps work over there.)You can climb up to a ledge then. Behind you will be the SW proper. there's a standable ledge out there I seem to remember.

Not sure this isn't just an emulator thing, but I don't think so. The window for jump after the unmorph is teensy, need fast fingers. Camera wants to squirrel, so be heading where you need to go before pulling the trigger. Terminal fall trigger is shallow here, try not to drop too low. Try not to bump your head.

Appreciate any help I can get. :)

Oh yeah, vid. (jpeg to avi to mp4): TASW

These are of the original SA SW. Might help if you make it to the window.

Looks like it's best to just get far enough over in the first place. Not sure if you already know this, but it seems that it's necessary to hit the railing on the way down.

(and has this already been known to be possible before? >_>)

That would explain a lot.

Theorized, long ago. It was tried by me and someone/s else (at SCU?) but written off as impossible. <_< I came back here to ask SpippyJr a question, and noticed your 14% topic (my jaw dropped, I left thinking 14% might remain theory forever). That triggered memories of Sanc SW questions left unanswered.

Thanks MilesSMB, I don't have to abuse my fingers on the wavebird for hours, only to admit defeat once again. :)

Edit: Wiki updated. You are proud new owner of a Echoes SW alt. ("They don't grow on trees, ya know!") ;) BTW, this method should work in the dark version of the room.

that would help the no-SJ game a lot too since the big-ass wallcrawl needed for the Sky Temple key would be far shorter.

btw, i bet the wavebird lag is what stopped you from achieving the alt SW entrance aiwebs_017
Not sure it can be done without SJ, but that would be sweet. TJ hated that crawl IIRC.

My brain and fingers both lag way more than any wavebird. :P

EDIT: I got it, almost right after this post. Weird. I also got into the SW on my first try. I'd like to be more consistent with IS but I guess I'll work on that another time. Also, if you see this, Miles, thanks for the video.

Infinite speed is driving me crazy. I've never been able to do it before but decided to give it another go now that you can skip item loss. I follow Miles instructions in his youtube video to the latter, but I can't get the Morph Ball to slow down and stop on its own. I've made sure the map is in the room with the splinters, I've moved hard to the corner, and I've been particular about my aim (how precise do you need to be? I'm aiming a little left of the diagonal line on the panel). I've gotten a few different camera angles when morphing (mostly the same as in the video), I've tried holding hard on the stick and light, I've tried all different directions (most some variation of down-right) I even tried switching to my Gamecube in hope that my woes are a result of a hardware issue, but that's not working either.

I'm gonna get back to it, but is there anything anyone can add? Anything more you need to know? What should I be doing differently? This doesn't look that complicated - Miles was nailing it consistently, live, a few nights ago when he was trying to figure the skip out and didn't look to be having any trouble.

I've only done IS in Prime 1. If it's the same as Prime 1, you can tell when the mb will stop, by observing: Very shortly after you morph and notice the mb's spin, if it spins a bit faster than usual then it'll slow down and finally come to a stop then. For Prime 1, if I don't get that faster spin then I unmorph and try a different angle. Hope that helps some. In other words it's a visual cue.
Try aiming just to the right of the crate. You may have to snap the stick back-left (default controls) just before morphing to get the camera to move off to the side. Then down-right stick (or very close to it) should spin up. (You needn't pull the stick hard.)

You should be all the way to the corner before morphing.
snap the stick back-left (default controls) just before morphing (with L-lock)
Thanks. I had everything else straight, but I was watching MB the wrong way. I think speed and turn are both the cue. It's easy now, except when the ball takes longer to slow down for no apparent reason (I thought it may mean I'm off a little but I don't think I am). I used the trick again to get Seekers. =) They should be a big help in my run.
I got seekers first and, because of that, I can't seem to be able to get the emerald translator. The hologram keeps telling me about looking for the gravity boost. Is there anything I can do to get emerald at this point ?
Bananas GOOD, Kremlings BAD
IIRC:

Yeah, something I learned recently -- there's a "hidden" scan in those holograms.  If you go up close to the hologram you'll notice spinning balls around it.  One of them is unscanned.  You should be able to scan it up close.

Hey guys.  It's been a while.  HINT: This is not because I haven't needed the help.  This is because I got to Quadraxis and could not kill it, and so I took a long break.  Anyway, I'm considering going back and attempting it again.  In the interest of not driving myself to hair-pulling, disc-snapping frustration trying to kill the over-sized Quad, does anyone have any good strategies for:

-No Dark Suit
-Trilogy Version
-Hypermode Difficulty
-Any% (meaning I have pretty much every possible Energy Tank)

Anyway, help would be appreciated.  I'm not even sure it's possible.  I haven't seen it on YouTube or anything...

my advice would be to avoid as much as you can and pray you get lots of gold refills. that's basically the key to beating him without Dark Suit.
i have never tried him on hard (hypermode) without Dark Suit but i don't think he would be that much harder than doing it on normal without Echo Visor and starting with half HP (i went directly from the Echo skip to him in my latest improvement on GC)

Hm... Super Missiles or Charged Light Beam?
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
if you have the ammo, use charged light beam shots. if you see you run out of it, use Super Missiles in the second phase (the head remains stunned for a good while)
I can't seem to get into the Temple Assembly Site SW (for early PB, of course).  I can't get onto that one rock.  Help?
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
the ghetto jump off the tree is tricky. what i do is jump as soon as i touch the branch and i continue holding forward to make the ghetto effect carry me over the root. if you see that the jump is long and you "hug" the root and end up close to the rock before using the second jump, you're good.
after you're in the rock, you have to jump to the point where the 2 roots meet and it has to be a high jump to make t to the glitchy part to enter the SW (i messed up here a lot recently)

Hmm, I'll have to give that another try later.  I ended up restarting the file and wallcrawling from the item loss skip SW.  It's a surprisingly easy crawl, actually.  I had far more trouble getting back into Temple Assembly site than I did getting to the PB.

Also, are there any SWs in the Great Temple?  In fact, is there a place I can find a list of SWs?

OK, another question.  Getting the Dark Beam without fighting Dark Samus.  How do I do it?
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
i imagine you need to enter the wormhole SW that is in the first big agon room (the one with the energy tank and sonic locks) and then wallcrawl from that area to the dark beam room.
Having found myself completely unable to do the wormhole one, I've made my way to Sandcanyon through Sanctuary Fortress.  Unfortunately, having trouble with that one, too.  Any tips?
The wormhole seems random (pseudo) (I'm assuming a random element to the worms behavior.) As such it will respond to persistence. (Hang out in the right area enough times and you will get in before you die... Sooner or later.)

Sandcanyon is just plain hard (timing)... Hmm, just tried Sandcanyon and got it without a float. Use the vid in the wiki to time and aim the jump, but when you hit the corner and begin to descend, start hitting the jump button. There's a ledge down there that's lower than the one used in the wiki. (Hence, no float.) Press forward after getting the jump and the SJ should get you to the aether before terminal trigger.

You will probably tend to space jump to soon after jumping off the cannon platform (not move forward with the SJ). If you jump low enough, you'll move forward a bit and hit another wall. Left-forward stick should get you to the corner.
Looks like it's actually the same ledge as in the wiki but better timing on the jump. (Avoiding the float up to the ledge.)
