I don't really get what was so hard about him, on Normal at least. I didn't really have a problem at all. Just shoot, then bomb. His boosting isn't too hard to avoid. I heard that on Hard mode, he's a total bitch to beat, but I guess I'll see for myself when I get there.
The problem with the Boost Guardian is finding out how to hurt it, after that it's all about dodging the boosts.
its actually a pretty easy boss once you figure out his pattern, wouldn't like to face him on hard mode though Shocked
Just got the Seekers. Where the *bleep* am I supposed to go?
red chamber dream
Back down the the Torvus Bog. Go down the elevator there, to the tall circular, underwater room. You should see a purple Seeker Missile door sort of near the top of the room. Go through it, and I'm sure you'll figure out the rest (hint,
you're trying to find the Gravity Boost)
Hope that's right, and that it helps.

By the way, can you only fight the Alpha Blogg after you get the Gravity Boost? I did, but it looked as if I could have gone up to it before I went down to get the Gravity Boost.
And what boss am I going to fight exactly?
red chamber dream
The Alpha Blogg. He's really pretty easy.
So you don't fight a boss to get *that item*, then you go onto the boss?
Wow long time no see :)

I need help getting the second key to the Dark Torvus Bog temple. I got the first after the Boost Guardian (were those small enemies in there one-timers?) & have found the second but can't reach it. There's a Grapple Hook above me but since I do not have the Grapple Beam, I can't use it :D I think I got a hint message telling me to actually leave Torvus Bog. Sounds stupid but should I follow that advice?

Got the game yesterday & it rocks obviously.
I('d) like to watch (some MP3 runs)
You can get that key without Grapple by doing an L-lock jump from atop one of those jellyfish things, but it doesn't matter..that should be the last key you get.

Grab Seekers for now, then go back to Hyrdodynamo in Torvus.
Oh okay. Thanks RS :) so that's the third key or what? Tried my way through the Hydrodynamo without any success due to lack of correct items.

Correct. You get *that item,* and then fight the Alpha Blogg, who gives you nothing, besides opening the doorway up and out of the room.[/spoiler]
Yeah, did that about an hour ago. Thanks!
Hey i was wondering if anyone could help me with this....

First of all i'm on the Torvus bog Boss (like I have all the powerups and all the keys and could just walk into his room and start the fight)

but..um I only have four energy tanks and well with what i've been hearing about this "turd" you need more than four energy tanks to beat it, and I was wondering if you guys could point me in the direction of some more tanks.

By the way I went to the room w/ the darkburst and I can't find out how to get to it. *pulls out hair* .....  :x

*Boost guardian is nothing. I killed him w/ three energy tanks.*  8)

-thanks alot
Here are some...I might have forgotten one, but oh well.

Temple Grounds > Storage Cavern B (Can't remember where that is...)

Agon Wastes > Sand Cache (If you don't have this...)

Agon Wastes > Bioenergy Production (Arrange the platforms as steps going the opposite way)

Torvus Bog > Temple Access (Come in from the top)

Agon Wastes > Mine Shaft (From the Dark Beam door in the Agon Temple)

Dark Torvus Bog > Cache B  (Right underneath temple, through m ball tunnel)

Temple Grounds > Windchamber Gateway (Use Sparky's method)

got as far as
his second form
and got my ass handed to me on a plate Embarassed
i'm guessing that you have to stun hin and then grapple across to the opposite side of the arena, then sm him from behind?

You got it tman.  SM or Charged Beam/Light... don't forget that in MP2 you can charge your weapon while grappling.
I'm putting this here because someone else might look for help regarding this issue.  I probably annoyed the crap outta radix this morning... i was trying to get to the pb door in the main gyro chamber of the sanctuary fortress.
I stopped both rings, and attempted (for almost an hour) to boost through the glass to get to the door.  To no avail, I kept dropping to the floor.
I got so mad I saved, left, came back, and then did it on first try.  Odd...  Anyone else have something that's so easy that the game just won't let you do?  Just save, restart, and go try it again.  :?
thanks a lot BoostR...

now that I have a decent amount of energy (7 tanks) and the darkburst, i'm off to slay the turd.....

Yeah... I have phail'd against the Spiderball Guardian quite a few times, and I have to go through the annoyances of going all the way back from my last save. Any tips, better yet, a video? Rolling Eyes I'm not really the best player, and I only have 5 energy tanks, about around 60-80 missiles, and of course, 2 beam ammo expansions.

I had only 4 tanks when I beat him. Just make sure you have beam ammo expansions, and you time your Super Missiles right when he jumps out like free willy. Dark Beam/Darkburst is a tad slow when he "Free Willy's" it. Don't forget to kill those Dark Shredders, good ammo refills. Form 2 can get a bit tricky, but not too hard. Well... only the dark form is hard. Like many others said, keep power beaming him until he is stunned, grapple across and seeker missile the wings. Of course grapple is not neccessary to get behind him, it's just faster and has a less risk of: A) Dying in poison water, or B) Chykka becoming no longer stunned. Just know that his acid sweeps are easy to avoid, and if you get hit to make sure you don't get pushed into the water.  Once it become Dark Chykka, use Light Beam shots, as it's easier to hit it with them and they are quite damaging. When Chykka spawns Chykklings (phear them), power beam em' until they drop, continue this strategy, but be cautious of the ramming attack which does quite a bit of damage and knocks you into the water (most of the time, well probably all the time, if you get hit by it. Stupid ol' me, I didn't use Light Beam on the Dark Form, so it took me a while with Power Beam. well good luck!
I need help to find *ahem* Power Bombs...  Embarassed

The Hint System says that I need to go to the room where I fighted
Alpha Blogg
but in the dark world, if you know what I mean. The problem is that to get in there, I must have Power Bombs. Where do I find them?

*sigh*

The hint system has alerted me that I need to get to "Aerie" (it's at the top of a really tall shaft in Sky Fortress in the light world) to pick up some Luminoth tech.  The problem is, I don't see any way to get there.  The most direct route is from the Main Gyro Chamber, but I can't get to the second story on the side it's on.  I don't have much of the dark world of Sky Fortress explored because the place I can go are being blocked by sonic locks, long chasms, Annihilator beam doors, and dead ends (the few unexplored (blue) areas left in the light worlds are blocked as well).

How do I get to Aerie?
