loving low%

Not that hard. You get to save right before trying it so you can save in magmoor and try it infinitely until you get good at it. Learning where to stand on thardus was the hardest part for me.
Ah, okay, that's comforting.

uhhh sure
Yeah, I also thought you skip Thardus and SB in any%, but I got very confused because Miles fought Thardus in his 1:00 any% segmented-Speedrun, and he also did so in his [in-progress] sub-sub-...-hour Speedrun but now that T3 found a way to climb the 2 spider shafts in phazon mines, he has to redo the last 3 segments since he doesn't need to fight thardus anymore. And in his 0:59 SS-Speedrun, on the other hand, he skipped him with the Thardus-Dash...
So, shall I finally skip it in my first, "moderate" Speedrun, or wouldn't it take very much time anyway?

sub 1:30 is easy if you give yourself enough time to somewhat optimize some parts
Ah, okay, that's comforting too! Then, I'll try to go sub 1:20 after mentioned Speedrun and a subsequent SS sub-2:00!

Now that 21% is doable I will have to give you a lower appraisal than I would have 5 years ago.
I mean, yes, of course 21% is way harder than 22%, but there's still a difference between having used SW's or not. And 22% has become a quite a bit easier due to ways found around some of the hardest parts of low%-Runs. But in general, 22% hasn't gotten easier, only because a handful of ridiculous beasts (IIRC only Paraxade and Miles (on hard) have done it, right?) managed to pull of an even crazier run, has it?

My completely uneducated guess is less then 256 but more then 1.
Okaaaay, I'll take it as a concurrence, that exactly "2 to the power of 8" is showing up in a gamer-forum... But, yeah, it's still nice to belong to be a member of a "club" consisting of less than 300 (Spartaaaa ) members!

ps it says I am logged in probably all the time but I only really check in actual topics when I get bored at work which is about once or twice a week and I only post a couple times a year
Hm, good to know...
And, seing as you post here soooo rarely, I feel kinda honoured that you've spend your time to help me! Thanks!
