unless you're coming from mqb direction (in which case i dunno), you can.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
thanks for the video, but I found out that you could like 15 minutes before you posted that :P:P, I dont know what was making it crash but on my droped 100% speedrun file it crashed like 12 times in a row, and on a file without plasma it never crashed, ether way I did what I wanted to do (start the OP fight from the top of the room XD)

how did you load op's room without it freezing?  that's something i haven't been able to do.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
ill put up a video im recording it now

sweet.  that also makes a significantly faster route of x-ray -> enter sw after vent shaft -> wallcrawl to op -> newborn -> main pb -> wallcrawl to warrior.  wish i had known for my run. =p

Sub-hour faster?

ughh its gonna take a long time to upload

i've never done the wallcrawl fast to time it (because at the time i didn't know how to do it), but i'd guess that pending any complications it'd save between 30 and 60 seconds.  so, assuming that is true, yes, sub-hour faster.
...Wouldn't there be several barriers in your way if you did the bottom floor of the mines backwards?

I can think of the gate before OP and the scan things in mqa and mqb. I don't know if they can be boosted through or anything
always move fast
ah.  i was assuming you could at least wallcrawl back via mqb, but forgot you'd have to pop in for newborn.  i imagine you'd be able to unfreeze the gate with a plasma shot (a la the door in phen edge).  if you could boost through the force fields that'd be ideal.  guess i got a bit ahead of myself. >_>
if they're anything like the one in main quarry, then they may be a problem:

rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
i'll test to see if you can get out thru the front of the room with OP...
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
well this sucks, i dont think you can hit the ice above the gate
always move fast
lol.  oh well.
not evil,just hungry
could try wallcrawling one more room to shoot the ice and give you a way out.  pretty sure that will crash though.  op hates having rooms load nearby unless you hit inbound triggers.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
its really weird theres so little space that you dont even switch rooms, can somone test if you can melt the ice when the map thinks you in another room

Yeah you could probably just crawl one room further, door warp into the room with the ice, shoot the ice with the room secretized then go through the door to OP. You still need a way around the force field in MQB though. Guess there's always the SW but it seems slow.
rocks, locks, and invisible blocks
ummm just saying but... we going to need to change the route a fair bit for this to work in a speed run

ok, I need help with the Burning Trail SW ,I don't really get it, I've heard its easy but I've never done it and can't seem to find out how to start clipping there
I'm assuming you have the burning trail sw under your belt by now, its pretty straightforward.. the main site description covers it well.. http://www.metroid2002.com/secret_worlds_burning_trail.php

But I have a question, is it possible to stand on ice space pirates once they are frozen? For example in a certain frame of animation.. I swear I saw a video once with an example of this.. but I could be wrong.
You can stand on any frozen enemies iirc.
