I have Prime on Dolphin, and I haven't been able to get any of the cheat codes to work. I have the NTSC version (this is the only way I can play it; I'm Australian), and the game has some pre-provided AR codes that don't work.
I have "This code must be on" selected, I made sure that I'm using the 0-00 codes, I have "enable cheats" checked...
I went and got the Thermal Visor before visiting the observatory to get the super missiles, and ended up having to do both scan dashes to get the artifact in the control tower. Now I haven't played this game in about a year so my memory was a bit foggy.. and I forgot that super missiles are required to get the artifact in flaahgra's room barring some too-difficult-for-me bomb jumping. Is there any way to get the super missiles despite the observatory being sequence broken to hell leaving the hologram sequence unavailable?
Couldn't you just wallcrawl to the Artifact of Wild? But that wouldn't be an easy task either, but still way easier than that awkward bomb jump from the ground all the way up, having Spider Ball. But why didn't you just take the Super Missiles? Sequence Breaking can easily cause problems in these Pirate Labs in Phendrana Dirfts... But you could always just attempt to collect the Super Missiles and leave the Pirate Labs without EVER saving, so you shouldn't really get into ANY problems.
i need help with the spider shafts. is it a bsj? where do i need to jump to? I'm on the first shaft. also I'm on mobile and can't watch videos. i can barely post (this was the 4th attempt)
I'm trying to beat my PB (and also training for the ESA) and I was wondering how much time does it save to do the Thardus Dash instead of Infinite Speed glitch to get the artifact of sun? I have the feeling that the TD route is longer in real time, I recently beat my old route PB which was a 1h14 by a few seconds, and I got a 1h15...
No one has ever really timed it afaik, but I think it's something like 20-30 seconds slower to use IS? Maybe?. That's a weird thing to happen though, since iirc the TD and IS routes have the same amount of cutscenes, and the IS route has ~20 seconds of lag which doesn't count towards game time, so you'd think the IS route would be longer real time. Did you use any save stations in the 1:15? or play out any cutscenes, like Phendrana Shorelines or Ice Beam?
Thardush dash route is faster. Im not professional about IS and secret world things. But magmoor back track route is around one minutes slower used than Thardus dash route. I think this IS trick is around 30-40 seconds slower than Thardus dash. Stefan used this IS thing his PAL SS run into SDA. I think its best idea used backtrack route SS runs if you not handled Thardus dash consistent. Thats not really much slower than IS trick.

You mean Phazon mines? Yeah its double bsj. But not ask for me how you can climb up this shaft. I Just can make this bsj only but im not know anythings else how Miles & T3 make this. Maybe you have to ask PM questions about these guys.
Thanks for the answers. I checked my runs and in my 1h38m58s (1h14, no TD)I played the ice beam cutscene. In my 1h38m57s (1h15, TD), I didn't play it and i used 1 save station... that could explain the difference but it's extremely close anyway. I'm wondering if the risk of doing TD is worthy. And I didn't know about that lag with IS, interesting.
As I'm doing a casual 23% speedrun and I'm on Omega Pirate right now, and so I got stuck a bit. As information: - On Round 1, it's always 2 troopers of the SAME colour, but after that, always 3 troopers, consisting of TWICE type "X" and ONCE tyoe "y", IIRC/ AFAIK. - In the whole OP-fight, there are2 categories of troopers; those who attack in melee and those that shoot, but every trooper only has ONE ability. - What you want for OP fight w/out E-Ts nor Charge Beam is Melee-troopers, and, if possible, Plasma Melee troopers. - If you get power beam, wave beam or ice beam SHOOTER troopers, you're probably gonna die, as it's very hard to mash "A" while dashing ALL THE FUCKING TIME! - Plasma Troopers are the only one that you can "accept"/ "easily kill", as the begin to burn even w/ UNcharged shots and have the lowest life-time. I haven't yet beaten OP, but I noticed something: It's said that the type of beam pirates he spawns is pure luck, right? As I got from MQB savestation to the room right before OP (isn't it called Elite Quarters Access), the Plasma Trooper attacked me with his arm (yeah, the attack when no shots are fired). Then I destroyed OP's armor with the fast method (which includes that cuscene skip), and then, as he summoned his minions, I waited in the left part of the room, just quite next to the Plasma Door through which I came just before. (idk if that's all worth explaining, but you never know if it's important when the question is about "luck" in video games...)
Now, I got Plasma Troopers three times in a row (in a row here means that I died and re-tried it), then I avoided the Plasma Trooper's melee attack and got 2 Wave Beam Pirates in a row. Then, after those (in total) 5 attempts, I again let me attack this way from the Plasma Trooper. I got Plamsa Troopers! And, because I don't have the timing down for laying the Power Bombs and putting on the X-Ray Visor, I had to settle for another round, and then, for even a 3rd round! How I survived 3 rounds? I got 2 Plasma Troopers in EVERY of the 3 rounds! o_O
Um... first, this doesn't really belong in tihs thread. Second, did you ever try using super missiles on power troopers, charged ice beam + missile on ice troopers, and wave-buster on wave troopers? And even without beam combos, just using corresponding charge shots? <_<
Hahaha @ kirbymastah I'm not a beginner anymore, nor a noob! ;-) So, I should've posted it in what? The "how to manipulate luck topic"? Is there something like that? Or does this belong into the Glitches Topic? I didn't think so... Yeah, the "random research topic" was another idea, but I'm not YET sure about my theory, so I did NOT want to post it there, as it was probably just me getting very, very lucky. This is also the reason why I didn't create a thread myself. But if you feel like doing so, propose me another thread and I'll certainly post them there and delete these posts here. :-)
I mean, it's just something that randomly occured, but if the chance is 1/4 that (in round 1) you get 2 Plasma troopers, and I got that a fairly amount of times CONSECUTIVELY, the chance sinks dramastically to 1/16, then 1/64, etc. But I were either 1) extremely lucky or 2) about to find a more or less constant way to get OP to spawn Plasma Troopers which is a mercy in low%. And "I need your help" insofar, that you could tell me if that's impossible, as for example Miles has tested hundreds of ways to get him to spawn Plasma Troopers with TAS, but he didn't find any clues about when and when not OP decides to spawn them.
When i personally did 22% run. Yeah these pirates are hard its take me 16 deaths kill Omega my 22% run. Its easiest way manipulate plasma troopers there is 25% of the time you can got it. So its not very random. Expect SS runs you have to be just very skilful.
If you not are lucky enought power and wave troopes are okay too. There is two different troopers melee guy and shooter guy. This shooter guy is really nasty i have to always kill him and yeah its very possible to kill him before Omega appeared onto his first pool. If Omega called ice troopers i usually just reset or die. Those ones seems reeally hard to kill then you can just try surive alive like smilingjack did his 22% SS run. I personally never survive.
2nd hit is easy. Omega not called troopes. 3rd round Omega called troopers but you can quickly lay power bomb into last pool and not need care anything about troopers.
This. The troopers are based on the RNG, which at least changes between once or several times per second, and at most changes every single frame. There's no way to manipulate it.
16 deaths only? Well, it was your 4th 22% run, but still, it's only 16 deaths... I still don't know how it's possible to stay alive in 23% or even 22% SS, that's really insane! --- Yeah, ok, thanks! Would've been too good to be true. But I already tested it further and it didn't work out at all anymore, so I wasn't surprised as I read that! :-(

Yeah its 4th. Three my previous run was done on PAL. Omega Pirate is much easier on PAL version because each PB kill those beam pirates.
But i think this is easiet way if you learn use that PB method its a lot easier if you have boost ball. When you handled this well/consisten enought you might go started your low-% attempts. Try just manipulate plasma pirates those ones are really easy to kill on normal mode. 25% chance is not very rare if you handleds power bombs well enought.

Usually that is true. But i IIRC Omega pirate send two pirates his first round. One pirate is always melee pirate and 2nd one is always shooter guy. Im not find any rng with this. I usually kill just shooter guy first because its most painful. But otherwise i agree Miles. Those actual beam pirates in mines changed rng and impossible to manipulated.
This is the I need help topic, right? Because I need help.
During IBBF, how do I load the room after Great Furnace, assuming I fall and AJ back up (because I suck too much to get the jumps right, but getting the AJ back up to door level is pretty easy).

This is untrue, and generally referred to as the Gamblers Fallacy. The chances stay the same every time.

Which room are you trying to load? Hall of The Elders Access or Crossway Access?
Sorry, I haven't had a chance to come on here in a week. I was trying to load East Furnace Access, but I managed to work it out over the past week. Hopefully I'll have the time to enter this week's race and do IBBF there, but we'll see.
