Switch jump/fire button means that moon jump happens when you lay bombs in morph ball, not boost.

Now why didn't I think of that? Thank you. I still wish there wasn't a conflict, but this is certainly better than a moon/boost conflict.

EDIT:
Olympus doors suck. At least some do anyway

Now, find this without moonjump :P

That would skip getting the PED suit lol. Somehow I don't think that's something you'd want to do.

What should really be looked into is a SW near the elevator on Norion, the one that you're supposed to fix the 3 generators to access. That cutscene there is always active and progresses the story. Another thing that could be interesting though, is what triggers the Berserker Lord state at the landing site on the Olympus. If just loading that room coming from the direction of the big door triggers that, then part of the Olympus could be skipped I suppose (would rely on yet another SW being found though).

I've looked into it best I can but unfortunately the collision is fairly airtight and you can't do FRS anywhere. Docking Hub Alpha seems like the best bet, but even that's a long shot.

It's triggered by the cutscene in Ready Room (the briefing with Admiral Dane).

Well, it would be fine if you can kill Helios without Hyper Beam. iirc the PED is given to you when you beat a seed, so you would get it for free then, in the same way you gain Hazard Shield from beating Omega Ridley (At least that's how I understood what parax was saying in Miles' Stream the other day [He was doing the ship missile dupe for 255% and the subject of inventory items came up])

Actually probably not the case as it turns out.

Oh well that's disappointing

On another note, has anyone got any tips on how to aether jump well? Right now I tend to not get the jump when exiting the aether quite a lot, which gets annoying. Sometimes I start getting into a rhythm but then I drop it and it's really hard to get it back again. What I'm doing is tapping outwards and then jumping quite soon after, but I see a lot of people hold one way and then the other? Also does the angle at which you are relative to the aether affect how it works? I sometimes feel like I have more trouble when I'm not perpendicular but I'm not sure if that's an actual change, or I'm not just holding straight left/right so my distance to the edge is changing.

Angle shouldnt have any real effect, its just a really small window of opportunity. I go left and right when aether jumping, because I have more trouble with forward and back. I think it's the visual connection to the room that gives me a feel of whether or not it worked. Harder to get the same feel from forward/back

Could just be me.

Finding a corner really helps
For mp3 you do NOT want to aether jump forward/backward. Because this is mp3, even if you're holding Z, you can't really change samus's direction forward/backward at all. So if you try to aether jump forward, miss it, then try to pull back, you'll fall all the way down because you barely move backwards. I don't know why, but it's corruption.

On another note, if you can find something to lock on to, then that's when you DO want to aether jump forward/backward, and NOT left/right (or else you'll strafe on accident) because you have lock-on physics which give you a lot more control. Really situational, but it's worth nothing.

I need save files so I can test sequence breaking with IS, I'd really rather not play through Elysia to test things on Pirate Homeworld. Someone on here must have save files for this game, right? I've got one for Nova Beam wallcrawl but I want one that hasn't collected X-Ray yet.

Yeah for whatever reason the transition in Escape Pod Bay to Spire (the version of spire pod where the pirate fights/escape pod takes place) is always active, so you can wallcrawl to it and trigger the spire sequence by just transitioning the room, no more need for the Theronian Bomb so Ship Grapple is out.

where is this transition? i seem to be having trouble finding it. or better yet is there a video?
It is in the middle of nowhere far oob. MLSTRM has a setup for it afaik, that involves lining up the map and then look where you are by comparing the cursor arrow to one of the letters. Sadly the trigger is not very big, so it can be quite annoying to search for it.

I don't really have a setup as yet, it's something on my list of stuff I'm working on for this game but uni and other stuff has been in the way recently >_>
As for actually doing it, I basically used miles' 15% run as a guide. General idea is walk to spire (If you have the map with north pointing right, then the box is inside the arrow of the compass when fully zoomed out on escape pod bay), then line up roughly like this: http://imgur.com/OSfeZBg
Then drop down a little, walk around, and repeat until you find the very tiny box. It basically sucks at the moment, hopefully I'll figure out how to get position watch on dolphin and make something good from there.

K, so I found a rather tall load box in that general area. Can't figure out how to transition though. Is the tiny box I'm looking for in/by the load box? Or am I way off?
Not sure where the trigger is in relation to anything since I don't have the world viewer, but I know the transition is the size of a normal door transition, and you just half to walk into it to transition.

Is there a non twitch video by chance? I saw the "Counting 15% as a sure thing" vid but my phone doesn't get along with twitch so it never actually loads.

Also who discovered this?
I might have a local recording of me doing it somewhere that I can upload, I'll check when I have access to my stuff, should be like tomorrow evening.

As for who discovered it, it was andy and miles (iirc? not entirely sure. The initial seed of the idea came from andy wanting to use IS in escape pod bay to see if you can trigger something, and then I think miles looked in the editor and saw that you can just trigger it directly from OoB. Not entirely sure who to give credit to tbh, sorry.)
