wel i thout it maby was somthing wrong with my disc or somthing since that happends very often.
Can a person explain very detailed how to get the space jump boots with the Dash Jump? Mr. Green  Mr. Green  Mr. Green
X Metroid, could you give us more information on what is going wrong?

I gave you a link in a previous post that gives a very good explanation on how to get SJF, MonsterERB gave you three links that explain how to do it, and I have also responded to your PM request for a more detailed explanation.

Without more information from you, it is hard to instruct you on how to fix what your doing wrong.
maybe hes playing with us  Rolling Eyes

Nope, what I said is what I meant.  I gave him the same link about 9 posts ago when X Metroid first asked his question.  With that said, your ‘miss-correction’ is 100% understandable considering you gave him the same link.

Like I said earlier X Metroid, my guess is that you’re not letting go of the left trigger early enough.  You virtually need to let go of the left trigger the very moment after you press ‘B’ to jump.  I can’t tell if it is my imagination or not, but sometimes I feel like I can let go of the left trigger before I jump, and I’ll still get a dash (probably just my imagination… but it illustrates the idea of how close together letting go of the left trigger and pressing jump need to be).

Once you get the timing for a solid dash jump down, making the ledge for sjf is actually pretty easy.
he HAS to be messing with us. If i couldnt get into a sw (which i can) and got 9 PM's 3 links that gives a description, i would get ut blind-folded. And plus sjf isnt that hard (in my opinion)
Well, if he is a first timer who’s brand new to dash jumping and sequence breaking… I think it is understandable to struggle at getting it.  I remember the first time I attempted to get sjf, it took me about an hour.

yeah. the first time that i did sjf, i did it, then i fell into one of those little holes. >.<

I can do a dash jump at will now.

To person who needed help:

Its not a button jamming issue. its smooth, and the combination just rolls off your fingers.

L, B + -> Release L, press nothing.

if you do the dash jump right, you should just barely slide up the ledge.
I am trying to get the ice beam before Flaaghra i just dont know how to use the ghetto jump? Rolling Eyes

As in you literally can’t perform a dash jump, like absolutely nothing happens when you try an jump?  Or as in you can dash jump, but just not well enough to get sjf.

I am asking because there are version differences in Metroid Prime, some of which wont allow you to use a scan icon to perform a dash jump.

X Metroid, if you want to receive help, then you need to be more specific with your questions.  What don’t you understand about using a ghetto jump?  Where specifically in the game are you having trouble?

A ghetto jump is just a generic term that means using some environment object/wall/slope to give you a vertical boost while jumping.  The application of a ghetto jump is different in every room.
my umbrella goes directly to Bankai
c'mon dudes. i read those same pages and could do the dash jump to get the space jump boots in less than 1 hour.
and that was before playing Echoes, meaning that i didn't have experience with a Prime game at all since i have not played Prime 1 to beat it yet.
i did the Space Jump first to show people at my house what was sequence breaking

"Scan dashes do not work in any version of the game but the original North American release."

Yeah. Maybe that should be more prominent?

There aren't any targets other than scans in the landing site.

many people say Magmoor run without varia suit is possible, but it is veryhard. I not know because im not trying this. You need couple energy tanks if you try magmoor run.
Basically, if you want to go through Magmoor without Varia and without using SW's, your only option is to do this.  I'm afraid this was deemed impossible in the European version, due to that game's slower loader. However, IIRC someone(Stefan van Dijke?) found a alternate route with more refills that could work in PAL. But it's late and stuff, and I'm too tired to find it for you.
