I plan on writing a metroid story in the Arts section of the forum, but I'm stuck at one little part.  The place where Prime: Hunters falls into the story line.  I'm aware with the storyline of Hunters itself, which makes me question what was at the end of the game?

That great and ancient power that Samus and the other hunters were searching for...  Did Samus get it?  If she did, then how did it fit into Echoes?  Since Hunters is supposed to be between Prime and echoes (Probably so Dark Samus has time to travel to Aether) so where does the artifact come into play in echoes?

What was the power?  Did Samus get it?  Was it in Echoes and I never knew because I've never played Hunters before?

I don't plan on buying a DS or playing Hunters.  So I don't really care that I'm asking for a spoiler that rells the ending of the game.  Can anybody answer the three above questions for me?  If you can, I can get back to work on my Metroid Story and post it in the arts section.

Well, I don't think that anyone can answer your question atm, as Hunters isn't even out yet.

It's obviously the power of love.

AFAIK, nobody knows where in the timeline Hunters is.

Didn't they confirm it came between Prime and Echoes?  Or did I imagine that?  >_>

Yeah, I'm sure I heard that somewhere, but that's about all we know. No one knows what this "power" is, but there's no evident change in Samus in Echoes from Prime I. So, either the power isn't anything we can physically notice, Samus doesn't receive it, Samus gets it and loses it (familiar to anyone?), or Nintendo created a plot hole, like usual.
Guess we'll have to find out.

Well now...  Don't I feel bright...  But yeah!  There isn't much of a change between Prime and Echoes Samus-wise...  I'm dedicated to filling in plot holes right now...  But a hole this big...

Since Return of Samus takes place after Echoes, then it leaves the question of what ever happened to Dark Samus.  Too big a question and obviously another game will be needed for this purpose.

Same concept with the "ultimate power" in Hunters...  Too big to leave as a plot hole...  MAN THIS IS GETTING TO ME!!!!!  I CAN'T SLEEP AT NIGHT ANYMORE!!!!!!!

You sure it doesn't take place after Prime 3? I thought the the Prime games all took place one after the other, with nothing in between. Dark Samus would be eradicated by the end of Prime 3, so that's why she doesn't appear in RoS, naturally.
Dark Samus ceased to exist because she was in the Dark World when the dimensional rift closed for good on the planet, draining all energy from the Dark World and completely eradicating anything in/on it.

As for the super power, did you ever think that maybe Samus destroys it? Makes perfect sense to me.
I though DS comes back to life.

Go get 100%!
DARK SAMUS LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVES!!!!!!! She reforms in space at the end of MP2E if you get 100%, as Yoshi pointed out.

Or, just go to www.samus.co.uk and download the movie from the MP2E section on the site.
Watch the ultimate power be a Metroid. Or an X.

That would rule so bad. Samus fights her way through an entire game (over and over again) to retrieve this power thing. And as soon as she's beaten down the competition and stands the lone victor, a metroid floats out, and she's like "wtf" and shoots a hole in it and flies off to Prime 3.

OoOoOo...  That's a good thought...  Might be...  Perhaps I'll go with that when I post my writing in the arts section...  And then just use the edit button if it turns out differently...

And a question for Ark/Yoshi...  The story I plan to write...  Is there such a thing as too big?  Because the story starts with the Chozo settling on SR388 and ends with the Fusion story...

In other words, on notebook paper, it's over five pages front and back. Shocked
From Chozo SR-388 to Fusion... 5 pages front and back seems a little short to me, considering the time span... Then again, I don't know how thorough you are. Can't be too detailed I guess, considering what little information there is.

There's no limit whatsoever to the arts forum. Downside might be that people consider it too long to read, but there's no rule about it.

And I am fully capable of answering questions directed to mods as well.
in the name of justice!
But "TRH" takes too long to type, compared to "Arkarian" or "Yoshi348" (or god forbid a name like "Tim")  Wink .

I want to see a game where the final challenge is really, really, weak looking.  But it'll own your sorry ass.  Like Morpha, except dangerous.

Heh, yeah, Morpha was, by far, the easiest boss in OoT, imo.
Morpha was the easiest enemy in OoT, yo.
yeah, and don't even try typing my name. metroid 1's time value ceiling got nothing on it. pheer.

I found him to be harder than Twinrova on my first play but subsequent battles have proved ridiculously easy.

omg 1 letter!  That...was...hard...
My apologies to all the rest of the admins and mods on here...  Ark and Yoshi were the only two that came to mind Embarassed ...  How about a toast to all the mods and admins of this site!

And I think I'll post the story in sections.  Seperate it by games.  Prologue, then Metroid Zero Mission, then Prime, the Hunters...  Etc.

Actually, I'm only on the Echoes part of the story.  And as of this moment, there is now five (front and back) full pages of story.  So I've still got the assumption of Prime 3 all the way through fusion.
