I refuse to believe that any metroid game would come out AWFUL under ninty's watch. Sure some are better than others, but they are all really good games.
It has its moments. The Dark World thing was good for a while (until the Boost Boss) and the Annihilator Beam Item CrashMissile Combo was pretty badass.
If anything, Hunters' single player mode. I'd mention Prime Pinball, but I've not played it so I can't pass judgement.
wasn't the "evil must be found" line in the backside of mp1's box? fake edit: yeah it is there.
i don't know you guys buy nowadays i get a bit irritated when i see this "metroid dread" mentioned. the thing probably never existed and all these years people have been talking about vaporware. not to mention other M is just right around the corner. i seriously doubt they would unveil a new game before they release another one that's almost complete. not to mention Hunters showed us that FP Metroid on DS is a pain and it could be the same for the 3DS. retro hasn't even developed a 2D Metroid so i wouldn't want them near it.
I prefer A Link to the Past, but Link's Awakening was just as enjoyable. In particular, I really enjoyed the more flowing feel of his movement. I think the only way this would have been any better would have been to have the whole overworld / dungeon floor scroll as one huge area, but of course you have hardware limitations, and would also apply to A Link to the Past.
I never actually finished LA. I really hate the constant reassigning of the A & B buttons. I wish they would remake that game.
Would you liken it to the OoT Iron Boots?
I liked being able to set up the weapons however I saw fit, personally. Without it, there would be no bomb arrows. Then again, glitches did ruin it from time to time (none of these current gen glitches that weren't caught for some reason, the ones where you had to look for them to find them)
