If you're not keen, then I'd recommend you don't worry too much about the extras. Without offering too much info for spoilerage, they aren't actually extra levels as such, but stars placed in hard to find places in the existing levels. I had every star, every medal, and then upon restarting, got all of the extra stars in the first two worlds again, and then got bored.
With Fusion complete, I've finished my Metroid series run in chronological order, no sequence breaking. Had a lot of fun with pretty much all of them, to varying degrees of course. With a fresh perspective on all of the games, I think my opinion of some of them has shifted slightly. I enjoyed Metroid and Echoes more than I usually do, which is either due to increased experience with them or simply being away from them as long as I have been. If I had to put them in order from my most favorite to least, this is probably how things stand for me right now. (And anything on the same "tier" is roughly equal to each other in terms of how I feel about them.)
Super/Prime Zero Mission/Fusion Metroid/Return of Samus/Echoes/Corruption Hunters
Now comes the part where I figure out what to do for the next week.
Oh, and it wasn't in this topic where we were discussing the value of missiles in the series, but I think I'm going to revise my statement now that everything is fresh in my mind. With the 2D Metroids missiles are pretty much balanced with the beams for the most part, being incredibly useful in Metroid and ROS especially. But other than rapid-fire in Prime, the 3D ones are pathetic unless they are required for puzzles, which I'm not counting. So yeah, I was partially right I guess.
I've got 238/240 of the shizzbobs on Arkham Asylum, only I have NO idea where the other two things are. I've got 23 Chronicles of Arkham, and I can't see a 24th on the map anywhere, and I'm guessing the other thing is *sigh* Joker teeth.

I've decided to proceed.
EDIT: I cringe at the levels where you have to ride yoshi. The controls suck!
I thought Yoshi was great in SMG2. Don't see why everyone is against the way he controls since I don't remember having any problems whatsoever.
And to quickly go back to the missile thing, I wasn't counting supers or the other beam combos when I said that. That's the ONLY reason you'd ever need to collect as many missile expansions as possible in the 3D games. (Since yeah, 3D SMs are awesome. Use those all the time in Prime and Echoes.)
Past three days, haven't been able to play anything but Counter Strike and Persona 3.
I'm at my grandmas house, forgot to bring my PSP games (other than persona which was already in there) and her computer is really really crappy. I had to put counter strike on the lowest resolution possible (640 x 480 iirc), along with running some guy's mod thing that makes everything look even worse than it does when you put it to the lowest in-game. And after all that, I get an amazing 25fps.
But I'm going back home later today, where my beautiful pc awaits me as its been furiously torrenting for the past three days nonstop.

There's a Chronicle on a little balcony around halfway up the manor's bell tower, that's the one that comes to mind as far as being easy to miss. It will appear on your map somewhere provided you got the riddle map for each area, which it seems like you did.
As for the teeth, if you missed any it's likely the three in the Warden's Office, there's an upper floor you can get to with the teeth and pretty much everyone misses them because they're a little busy when they get there normally. If it's not them then, it's pretty much impossible to say where they might be, the teeth are real bastards.
Went onto TF2 today, and the first time I'm killed, a hat is dropped into my inventory. Glorious.
Whoa congrats. Which one? The only hats I've ever gotten are ones you get during holiday events, or from pre-ordering games (Bill's hat ftw).
This lovely hat. I had quite a few other hats, but I wanted a Medic hat, and acted stupid. I had a Soldier hat, a different Scout hat and the Camera Beard, and I made a Demoman hat from three Refined Metals. I mixed the Demo-hat with the Scout-hat and got something crummy. I mixed THAT with the Soldier-hat and got a Camera Beard. I mixed that with my other camera beard and got a Trophy Belt for the Sniper. And that isn't even noticeable. So I'm tempted to mix THESE two hats, and see what occurs. I might get a Medic hat, I might get a Camera Beard. But really, two hats I won't use for the chance at glorious hattage is worth the freaking risk.
I've never crafted anything together in TF2. From what I understand, you put random items together and might get something good or rally shitty, so I'm always scared to mix them ;;

That's true, mostly. Most weapons either make metal or a class token. Some weapons make other weapons, and two specific items and a hat makes a new hat. Making a hat is entirely random, though. Three Refined Metals makes a random hat, four Refined Metals and a class token makes a class hat, and two hats makes a random piece of headgear. There's stuff on the net about what combinations make which items.
Got 107 stars in SMG2. Been getting so pissed off that my housemates are getting mad at me. I guess screaming 'Fuck You! I Hate You!' at the top of my lungs could get annoying after a few dozen times. This is the part where I stop having fun. Repeated death. Game over. Start the level over again. and again. and again.

Which reminds me, I need to finish that game. I stopped playing it cause I felt I was replaying SMG with ALL NEW SWANKY LEVELS.
Just in case Opium (or anybody else) hasn't seen it yet:
Throwback is a remake of a Super Mario 64 level. In the level, you could climb the tree, and an owl would appear. The owl would then carry you around, enabling you to get a star in a cage that was high up.
