Yeah, I was sadly parted with it before I could wrap it up, but I'm very happy to have it back and it probably ranks somewhere in, at least, my top 20 games of all time. Just wrapped up all the Riddler challenges yesterday, in fact.

I was being not a chump earlier and apparently it is be super great at the combat day because I was destroying the shit out of everything to an extent that I don't usually do. Love that crunching noise as you smash every joint in a dudes arm/leg/body. Best sound in any game.

Because in Arkham Asylum, you ARE Batman.

The only game to come as close to making you feel like the superhero you were playing as was Spider-Man 2, and even that was miles away from AA.

As good as the speed run was, it wasn't good for showing off the game. A lot of the fun of Arkham Asylum is the feel of the whole thing, it's about coming out of each encounter feeling like the goddamn Batman and being the best Batman you can be at any given moment. No speed run can really capture that feeling.

The speed run is actually a chump trap, and you got caught.Cool

qfft, only reason I have any consoles at all is for exclusives. Nintendo's store, the play staytion's online store, and the xbox live arcade can't shake a stick at Steam.

Okay, much further into Forgotten Sands now. It keeps getting better and better the further I get into it. It defiantly jumps from "oh yeah, this is pretty good" to "FUCK yeah" once you get the ability to use your creation powers on normal surfaces. It's still not as good as Sands of Time, but it's a contender for Two Thrones's second place slot.

As a side note, no idea why they named it Forgotten Sands. There's pretty much nothing to do with sand at all, of time or otherwise. A different subtitle would have made it clear that it's totally different from the HD version too. Guess they wanted to make people think it was a movie tie-in?
