Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Quote from Idkbutlike2:
Anyway, I've been playing DQ9 a lot. I haven't gotten all that far into the game, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. It's nice to see a traditional console RPG that manages to deliver something familiar, yet fresh.
I'm playing this too, and am enjoying it so far.  The only thing that I'm finding tiresome is the fact that your characters' turns are not taken according to their Agility, which sometimes makes tactical battles more annoying.  This is most obvious when you want to take advantage of the damage multiplier, by having the weakest people attack somebody first.  Oh, and I'm already getting sucked into the Alchemy side...
Yeah, good thing they took out the waiting times for alchemy in DQ9. Having to constantly wait for the ingredients to mix when you already took a lot of time to get them got really annoying in the last game.

Finished my 100% hearts/charts/tingle statues playthrough of WW and am doing a 100% minish cap now.  Unfortunately, 100% hearts on Minish Cap means getting all of the figurines, because that's the only way to get the last heart piece.  *sigh*
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Just skip the last heart piece and pretend you got it, it's for your own good. No one deserves that nonsense.
That's cheating!
It's only cheating if you get caught.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Sometimes it's ok to cheat. Such as when hoping to preserve one's sanity and/or will to live.

It's also depressing when you have a maths head, and you start off with a happy face, knowing that it doesn't matter which one you get, as getting one you don't have is 1/1.  Then as you progress, and you start to realise that the odds are getting steeper ever time, you start to lose the aforementioned smile.
I'm very much hooked on MGS: Peace Walker. It seems to be able to do no wrong, for me. There are a lot of times where you (if you're a lone gamer like me) have to go one-on-one with a mech. I like these sections, the pacing of them is great, but they are NOT stealthy and there are a lot of them, and I'm not even sure how far throught the game I am.

Other than SOTN, this is probably the best thing to play on a PSP.
Ready to internet!
Tried Irisu Syndrome thanks to some fortuitous clicking on TV Tropes. Nothing like a good mind fuck to keep you awake.
Random Gradius games, because my current learning schedule doesn't allow me to play much anyways.

Yeah, as long as it's the PSN version, and not the crappy Dracula X Chronicles redub.
Got into the local top 10 in Gradius Rebirth with a score of ~800k. I'm placed 8th, although the top score is 1.1 mil.
My goal is scoring above one million, which should be very possible for me. Maybe in the semester break starting next monday.

Nice.  Good luck with that.

Playing Minish cap 100% hearts and still trying to get all the figurines.  I fucking hate the system of trading shells for figurines.  Sometimes you have an 18% chance of getting a new statue and succeed, other times you have a 90% chance and fail.  Im afraid that Im going to end up needing like 30 more figurines and be totally out of shells, having to buy them at ridiculous prices or finding them under rocks and bushes at a mind-numbingly slow pace.

Also, the cuccoo lady is a real pain in the ass.  Does she give a heart container?  I hope not, because I really hate trying to catch all of those fucking things.  Also - doesn't she eventually go away?  If she does, am I screwed out of getting that heart container completely?

DXC version is the same save for rearranged items and the sword brothers glitch. And Maria.
Plus, you can't get either version on the EU PSN :(

Unfortunately, yes. I don't recall her disappearing, but I'm not entirely sure.

I do remember you can end up missing out on the Silver Arrows if you don't throw kinstones everywhere. I thought it was an epic dick move.
Finally got the heart piece from that c*nt of a cuccoo lady.  Also, I am so.....stupid....

I had no idea that you could fire a charged silver arrow on Minish Cap.  Am I the only one who didn't know this ???

it's okay if you didn't know about it because no one used it anyway!
I suppose the novelty will wear off at some point, but right now I'm having all kinds of fun with it.

Remind me, what's it do?
It's just a stronger arrow.  Two charged shots takes down a mummy, as opposed to 4 regular silver arrows.

Do want.

I was so pissed when I found that I'd missed out on Silver Arrows back when I played Minish Cap. That game is on the verge of sucking.
It scares me that Wind Waker was the last properly good Zelda.
Taking a quick break from Dragon Quest IX to play Doctor L's fan translation of Chrono Trigger. I heard It improves the one made by the Chrono Compendium quite, so hopefully the dialog won't be as God-awful as that version's.

It took a long time for me to appreciate wind waker as much as I do today.  Minish Cap is definitely my most fav 2D zelda.  It has definitely had the highest replay value for me out of the series, with the exception of OoT.
