do you even get anything for doing that? i considered doing it but i figured it would waste too much time.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
You get a little sticker or some shit in one of the menus, and I think the final heart piece. That might have been for the Kinstones though. Don't do that either.
i did the kinstones. >_>

That one I actually did. Don't ever do that.

This. It's mind-numbing in how luck-based it can be. You get a heart piece and the music player, but that's it.

The kinstones... I forget what happens if you do them all. I did them all at one point, but it was so long ago that I can't remember what you get. I do know there's one-time only items in Minish Cap, though, like the Light or Silver Arrows. Jesus.

I might replay it, since it's been five years since I last played it.

I got all the kinstones a few times.  I think you get access to a chest with 200 rupees in it, and resetting the game makes you able to open it again, essentially giving you an everlasting rupee source.  Don't quote me on that though because my memory is a little tainted atm.  You can then use the rupees to buy shells (and picolyte that locates shells) in order to keep trying to get all of the figurines.  I fucking hate getting those figurines because there's more luck involved than anything else.  Plus it takes like 30 seconds to purchase a figurine, and that gets old FAST.

You should def replay it.  It's my favorite 2D zelda for sure.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
At a certain point the odds become better if you simply keep paying one shell every time, instead of dumping huge numbers of shells for higher percentages.

Yes, but it sure does take FOREVER.

But it's soooo worth it for that Tingle diorama.
Brick wall
I realize you are being sarcastic, but I still have to say:  Anything that has to do with Tingle is never worth it.
red chamber dream
finished ratatosk today ... the end was actually pretty decent but overall the story was pretty throwaway. really liked the monster system even though you can't get any of the good ones on the first playthrough. sort of a shame because i don't plan on replaying it.

still playing infamous. pretty cool so far but really slow.

What of a personal assassination attempt?
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
'Attempt' implies the possibility of failure, and is therefore not worthwhile.  Straightforward assassination is fine, and I'd apreciate it if you did it soon, so that there's no risk of an appearance in the new, sexy-looking Zelda. Very Happy

The wandering Space Dragon
Ok, so how well do you guys know EarthBound. I think I may need some help...See, I went through to Threed without getting the second melody...

Oh, and, its worth popping the balloon he hangs on in SSBM just to watch him drown. Just throwing that out there.

You can go back for it later. Just try to remember to do so once you're able to go back. Threed's probably gonna suck if you didn't level up Paula a bit though, guess you don't have to do that on the way to the second melody, but that's where I always do it.
The wandering Space Dragon
I got Jeff already, paula does ok, when shielded, been training her up. So, the ghosts disappear eventually, I presume?

Yes, you'll know when they're gone.

Even if they didn't there would be a way around them later anyway.
Ah yes, the Threed sequence was one of the few parts of Earthbound I actually enjoyed. Then all that got ruined by the stupid Fourside sequence. I hated that part of the game (well, I disliked the whole game in general, but that's a different story).
One shall stand, one shall ball.
I'm going to assume you enjoyed Moonside because it was the best part of the game, how someone could hate that is beyond me. I can understand disliking other parts of the game, but not Moonside.
Moonside sucked. All you did there was get randomly warped by surfers and fight fire hydrants and shit. It was utterly boring and bizarre.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Bizarre in the best way. All the best ways. None of the best ways, best best best.

P.S. You're wrong.

Anyway, I've been playing DQ9 a lot. I haven't gotten all that far into the game, but I've enjoyed what I've seen so far. It's nice to see a traditional console RPG that manages to deliver something familiar, yet fresh.

Out of curiosity, did you talk to the people in Moonside? Or really in the game in general? Because the writing really is the only reason to play Earthbound at all, if you ignore the npcs it's just a lame Dragon Quest clone.

Yeah, but to me, the writing is nowhere near as good as people say it is. All the corny jokes in EB just don't improve the experience. If you're looking for a cleverly written translation in a RPG, then play Lunar: Eternal Blue.

Yeah, gotta love his art style. Speaking of which, you actually get to design each member of your party this time around (they brought back character recruiting from DQ3). Too bad their weird haircuts get covered up by helms, though.
