*sigh* Still in my gaming slump. I got high and dragged out Darksiders again. I got bored with it the first time I tried to play it, we'll see what happens this time.
Finished Shadow Complex, both normally, and with 100%. Got Platinum on the large majority of the Proving Grounds too. Currently restarting on the next difficulty. Still lovin' it...
I've been installing/patching Mortal Online for the past two days. This is worse than installing and patching WoW.
OH and I've been playing Burnout Paradise again. I have to start a new game, and I put in 40 hours into my save, but never bothered to back it up a few years back, so now I have to start fresh. And to top it off, my Torchlight save data got corrupted after backing it up and reformatting, so I have to start a completely new game (which SUCKS). On the bright side, I'm getting to try out the Alchemist, which has been pretty fun so far (doing nothing and letting my pets/minions kill everything for me).

does ridley actually become faster once he's down to about 10%? I did pretty well until then, but suddenly became pretty much unable to dodge his dash attack from then on.
finished the resident evil remake yesterday -- extremely well-made game, not sure if i like it more than 0 though. starting knight of ratatosk and uncharted 2 today.
Very frustrated with Darksiders. The bat queen boss is a major pain in the ass. I had to consult a walkthrough to figure how to inflict damage - would have never figured that out on my own. The first part of the fight take several minutes to complete, only to have me die very quickly in the second part. Trouble is, everytime you die you not only have to repeat the first part of the battle but there's a big long cutscene you have to sit through that's only partly skippable. I've watched it so many times that I'm dozing off.
but there's a big long cutscene you have to sit through that's only partly skippable.
My name is BOLO SANTO-ZEEE, leader of the revolutionary army known as the REE-PUHS. [/Just Cause 2 reference]
I hate un-skippable cutscenes that you have to watch 100 times. Like in the JC2 demo, where you have to watch the 5 minute long cutscene, then the timer only lets you play for 30 minutes before you have to sit through the cutscene to play again.
Picked up Prime US again and decided to just forget about IBBF for now. Surprisingly I managed getting from the save station at gathering hall to to the first save station in magmoor in only six minutes, despite having taken eternities for flaahgra.
Gotta spend some time browsing m2k2 now, already forgot the benefits of 00 prime for the thousandth time or so : /
Thank goodness I beat that bat bitch on Darksiders. I can really see why this game is so heavily compared with OoT. The controls are overly complicated though, but that seems to be the norm for many PS3 games. It goes beyond using every single button (including L3 and R3 - joysticks should not be buttons!) and has you using combos of R1 and L2, etc. I think I have been spoiled by ninty's genius knack for simplifying control schemes while not really taking away from the variety of things you can do. The menus and items are overly complicated as well. Seems like a pretty good game regardless.
I'm playing through Resident Evil 4 for the 10 million billionth time. And Pokemon Emerald. For the first time. I really have no games to play.
- Metroid Fusion/Zero Mission/Return of Samus - Resident Evil Code: Veronica X/4/5 (for the Xbox 360 I don't have) - Pokemon Emerald/FireRed - Guitar Hero 3/4/5/Smash Hits - Quake Live - Beyond Good and Evil - God of War II
I've beaten the first ones multiple times, every player on Quake Live sodomizes me upon joining any server, and those last two just aren't my cup of tea. In other words, I NEED a Wii or 360.
Played SMG2 at a party last night. I was very underwhelmed, especially after how well received it was. It's pretty much EXACTLY the same as the first, save for a few extra bits. My friend also said it was really easy, saying he 100% it in two days, but watching him play, he is far too good at it for his own good.
I'm at ninenty-something stars and it feels about as difficult as the first one to me, with just a few stars being pretty frustrating and the vhast majority being easy.
I'm at 80 stars, and it just keeps getting better! I got the game over a week ago, so am I really slow at this game? :o Maybe I just play it less often....
you were disappointed that a mario game was exactly the same as its predecessor?
As far as I remember, most Mario games tried to shake things up a little, in terms of the main series. The basic concept's the same, but there was always a rather sizeable difference in-between each game. The difference between Galaxy and Galaxy 2: Galazy is Yoshi's back for a few levels, there's a map system instead of the hub-world, and... well, I'm not too far in yet to really start complaining or something, but they REALLY drew a ton of references from Super Mario World (and one from Tetris & Dr. Mario, Mixed Match BGM 3, I think)
But yeah, Galaxy 2 is not as hard as it's claimed to be.
