Classic rock's only achievement is that it made a bunch of far better musical styles appear.

Also this is about videogames.

I am at the last stage of M.U.S.H.A. - hard as hell, but I guess I might be able to do it soon. This isn't an arcade shooter after all.
Started a run on 0-00 Prime.

I still suck at the ghetto jump leading out of gathering hall

Getting better at Imperishable Night now. I can get to Kaguya with Reimu/Yukari without continuing, and usually get to the third impossible task before being killed.
I wish they'd make a Capcom Vs. SNK 3 but leave all the SNK stuff out. And all the stuff that isn't Street Fighter. So essentially, another Street Fighter game. But 2D sprites, none of this 3D bollocks.

Did you give up on PCB? :(

Nah, managed to clear that with MarisaA on Normal. I used continues, but I'm going to try beating Kaguya on Normal.

Might try and finish EoSD without continuing sometime as well.

Hence why I'm trying to beat the crap out of Kaguya. Stupid moon *****.

Heh, here's a replay from when I did it a few months ago. I don't know if it will be any help though since I pretty much winged it the whole time (Hence all of the really stupid deaths... I think this was the first time I played the route).

just highly unlikely
Red Dead Redemption. A couple hours in, seems pretty great so far, and it's already looking to be a couple billion times better than the slightly shitty GTA4. In fact, RDR is kind of reminding me more of Oblivion than GTA so far, and that's pretty much awesome.

I'll give that a look, if just to see someone else play. How d'you attach things to posts? I could show you the two runs where I almost beat Kaguya.

Wait, I know where it is, but I can't click it cause the Page Navigation stuff's in the way ):|

have to go all the way to the start of the topic for this... *grumble*

Is it odd that when I got a fully complete download of IN which had everything unlocked, I got irate and tried to find an untouched version? And the fact that I try and play on the default settings as much as I can? (okay, the replays have an extra life, but I was still trying to get used to IN)

ARGH Homebrew format dislikes Taiga.

managed to beat the final stage in musha and actually 1cc'ed the game right after, although it was pretty close (no missed the final stage with constant 0 lifes).

Can't get much closer than that.

I managed to reach Kaguya's Rainbow Danmaku card. Gonna retry later when I've cooled down from the goddamn rage.
Isn't Imperishable Night a comparably easy Touhou game? At least that's what I heard.

Of the three I've played so far (EoSD, PCB, IN), IN is definitely the easiest. The extra stage is more difficult than PCB's though.

I watched your replays, Smeg, and I see that you used only 3 lives. So I really have no room to be giving you advice, haha. I'm going to try again some time with the default amount and see how that goes.

I guess it is. It took a little time to get used to it, but of the games I've played, IN is the one I've come closest to 1CC'ing. I've become a bit better at EoSD as well cause of it, since I can get to Patchouli before failing.

Red Dead Redemption is doing a great job of making a world that really feels alive. For instance, I was exploring out in the wilderness and I came across a woman lying dead on the ground, with a man kneeling over her and crying. I don't know what happened. It wasn't part of a quest or lead to a quest, and it wasn't caused by any of my actions. Just background stuff.

Another example: I was wandering around a more or less lawless town, and all of a sudden a message popped up saying a shopkeeper was killed and his shop would be unavailable for 5 days. I didn't see or hear anyone die anywhere near me. Some sequence of events, entirely off-screen and outside my character's sphere of influence, led to the shopkeeper dying.

I find that insanely cool.

Woot!  I seen this in another forum.  *Downloading* wub
Fuck you MGS4. You are nothing like the MGS games of old. It would be ok if you weren't asking me to just whip out the biggest assault rifle and gun everything down. When you decide to become a stealth game, I'll give you another shot.
