Quote from Poision Envy:
Ark are you implying that it gets boring or something? :[

It's more like it over stays its welcome. You get to a point where you're ready for the game to end and the game seems ready to end, but it just doesn't. I don't know how long it goes for after that, but it just shouldn't.

Really good up to that point though, love the art style. Just a prime example of a game suffering for the sake of "Oohh look at how long our game is."

oh i also remembered that it's way too fucking easy. you get all these powerups and whatnot but few of them are actually useful because you can play the game in your sleep.

To be fair the game is a little more about the platforming/puzzles than the combat. None of it's really difficult of course, but I really like Wind Waker so I'd feel silly complaining too much about that.

Haha this must be only thread on the internet where Okami gets trashed.
red chamber dream
i would agree except the items and shit you get in the wind waker are intended to be used for puzzles just as much as combat. ookami gives you all those rosary upgrades that are totally unnecessary.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
True, Okami does have more wasted items.

Speaking of wasted items, more Echoes! Still don't know why the Echo Visor is in the game, completely pointless.

Finished off Sanctuary which is still lame no matter what anyone says to the contrary. Quadraxis remains as close as the game gets to a good boss fight even if he does hand you energy like it's going out of style.

Just gotta grab the Sky Temple Keys now, already have one *~oh boy~* Also the Light Suit is the worst.

I'll give Echoes credit on one thing though, the way Samus winds up and gunpunches the fuck out of those energy controllers is pretty rad.

Just played Darkwing Duck on gameboy (player) ... and actually beat it. \o/ Damn hard game.

Next up is Kirby's Dream Land.
One shall stand, one shall ball.
Well, that was dumb. Finished Echoze with 8:40 62%. My proudest moment was loading it up tonight and seeing that unless I went out of my way for some item collection, I was going to avoid that horrid Zero Suit ending. So that was nice.

I do feel that I should point out what an shining example of terrible boss design Emperor Ing 1 is. Some kind of monstrous betentacled anus. Form 3 showed once again the problem with beam switching in the Wii version, trying to change beams while trying to focus on Empy and dodge his attacks is a total pain in the ass. Fight's easy enough that it doesn't matter for too long though.

Played some Wind Waker afterward to because I desperately needed to play a good game after that nonsense. Been subjecting myself to some pretty crappy games lately, Fire Emblem 8 and Echoes. Bleh.

Everyone bashing Okami can go to hell.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
I love Okami.  Even if the rest of the game were poo, the art style and Susano make it worth playing for me.
Currently not playing anything actually. Either I've become increasingly picky in what I find to be a quality game or quality has indeed slided. Whichever happens to be the case, just few games as of late manage to entice me into playing them. Friend of mine gave me a copy of Mass Effect 2 the other day, but somehow it just doesn't feel right either. I don't like what they did to the mechanics, I much prefered Mass Effect 1's approach of things.

For the most part, I'm waiting for either an invite to the Beta of Star Wars: The Old Republic or for the actual release of the game. I just hope I can endure this game vacuum for as long as it takes Bioware to finish it. *grin*
Just noticed Kirby's Dreamland 3 is available on VC.

Is it any good? If it's like Dreamland 2 I'll have to get that.

I'm in a major slump, too.  I keep opening up the cabinet full of games and just staring at all of them.  None of them sound fun.  Or I keep starting a game, only to turn it off about 10 minutes into it.  Maybe I need to fall back on some Zelda or something.
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
That's pretty much my usual gaming state.  I sometimes have an urge to play a particular game (usually the same old stuff I've been playing for years), but the majority of my time is flitting between a few anime episodes, a few hours of a game, a chapter of my book, and just circles round.
Just finished off Minish Cap. For a game with pretty good bosses in the dungeons, the final boss(es) were really dissapointing.

i've only played dream land 1, but apparently kirby 64 is the sequel to dream land 3. i'll have to play the rest of the series.

You can't really go wrong with a Kirby game no matter what.

I see. Might get that one in the future then (around fall).

Currently playing almost excusively shmups, however that happened. Right now I'm ranked 18th on Gradius Rebirth's wi-fi rankings, but I really want to get into the top 10 at least so I'm still playing that quite a lot. Also bought M.U.S.H.A. and Detana!! Twinbee on VC, both awesome games. Twinbee has a 2-P mode, so I'm saving that to hopefully play with a friend.
M.U.S.H.A. is lots of fun for a 16 bit vert shooter. Also

I also picked up Raiden III again. Current goal is to 1cc this fucker on easy sicne the game is just that hard.

I really need Galaxy 2 to have something else to play D:

Is that just every single time he says that single line, and every time anyone else says it?

It's not what I'm playing now, but yesterday I played Rock Band 2 with my older sister (me on Drums, her on Mic) and we'd been made to do an encore that would "challenge the drummer". The setlist we were playing was the Rolling Stones Rock Immortal set, which consists of Livin' on a Prayer, Pinball Wizard, Any Way You Want It, Let There Be Rock, Everlong, Carry on my Wayward Son, Battery and Painkiller in that order. The encore? Spoonman. A mediocre end to a great set.

FUCK YEAH CLASSIC ROCK
wha? Classic rock? no Cream? O_o

Started playing MGS4 again, since I've only played it once with ALL the cutscenes, and the gameplay parts are, on the whole, really good.

I dunno. I didn't make the playlist, I just beat the shit out of the drums.

And classic rock is quite awesome. I had fun playing most of those tracks, which is more than I can say for Spoonman.
