Ok, got the english patch installed and working, so now I know that theres 3 different "modes" the two girls can be which should make things interesting.

I also learned that you can press "x" to do a special attack. Yay learning! :D

Just wondering, in 11, where IS the hitbox for your character? It seems like there's been many times where I'm about to die, so I just go in one direction really quick, go through a lazer thingy, and survive when it clearly hit my head and stuff.

Your hitbox becomes visible while holding down shift, which also slows your character down for precision and concentrates her attack (if you didn't figure that out already now that you have the english patch :P)

oh, cool, I didn't even know about that xD

Ok, now I think I have all the controls down, maybe I'll be able to get somewhere
Because you really need to understand the dialogues in Touhou, right?

I'd love to tackle Touhout 6 again, but hell there's no way I'll ever play it again until I have some USB adaptor to use my PS2 controller.
And I'm not putting down 30 to 40 bucks for a reasonably good PC controller.
Ready to internet!

But, who could forget "Now, bitch, get out of the way!"?

I'm happy with my logitech dual-analog(?) USB controller and it was only $15 - $20 at walmart.

Wow. I don't think you can get logitech stuff that cheap over here.

me .. apparently. That quote is from Touhou 6, right?

I'm now missing 4 chests in Wild Arms. And am having absolutely NO CLUE about where they could be located. FFF

I don't remember that quote either >_>

But it sounds like something Marisa would say.

It's something she says in 8 when teamed up with Alice.

That explains it then. I've only ever played Imperishable Night with Reimu/Yukari.

HOLY CRAP I DID IT.

Shock and Awe (Extreme), you are mine. HAH! 31K. Oh, man. The worst part? I got it on my third try, after trying the first Shock and Awe like fifty times until I got it right. This challenge is too tough, but the combat is so much fun, I just kept going.

Okay, now I feel that I can tackle the rest of the challenges. Any other as difficult as this one?

Fuck yeah. That is easily the most satisfying to beat, it makes you feel like some kind of god.

I found the one after Shock and Awe (Extreme) to be tougher, but I'm some kind of freak that didn't have much trouble with either Shock and Awe so it probably won't be too bad for you. Definitely harder to get the required points in, though. Sewer Bat (Extreme) can be tough as well, but it's also the best one because there are tons of dudes to punch. Like a billion dudes.

If you can handle Shock and Awe you can handle anything this game can throw at you, though, keep that in mind.

That's good to hear! And thanks for all the help on Shock and Awe, that was valuable.

I LOVED the Silent Predator challenge with the glass ceiling. You know, I'm discovering a ton of new moves with these challenges. I never knew you could punch a glass ceiling and take down an enemy, or kill an enemy instantly from a corner, or rise from the floor and take down, or stun enemies with the explosive gel. So much thought into the combat.

This game is brilliant. :)

Yep, I've also never touched any otehr game then 6 & 7. I was planning to 1cc 6 first before going on with the series, but am no longer able to get into the game using my shitty pc controller.

Got Tatsunoko VS. Capcom (finally) and Sin&Punishment 2 today.

The last time a game made me stop and listen to its title screen music was Metroid Prime ...

Oh man, I OWNED Sewer Bat (Extreme), got 49K on the second round!

Good call. I should head back to the damn game running and learn how to make Mega Man use his damn drill (and pierce the heavens).

Listening to S&P2's theme really dsitracts me from playing.

Sewer Bat (Extreme) is such a great level. So many guys to fight. When you're doing well it's just all kinds of great, really lets you appreciate how fluid the animations and combat are.

Happy to help, I've actually seen someone give up on the game after Shock and Awe (Extreme) and it made me sad.

It's really amazing how much the developers thought of as far as ways to take care of goons in the predator segments a lot of context sensitive things like smashing through a glass ceiling an and landing on a dude's head or popping out from around a corner to knock a guy out. I wish there were more ceilings to smash through in the game, it's way too cool.

I had a little trouble with the predator challenges because I have too much fun just messing with the dudes, I sort of forget about the things I'm supposed to do sometimes.
Fun thing to do: Get proximity triggered exploding gel, spray it at the top of a ladder, watch the show as a guy tries to climb said ladder. I also like to use it on downed guards as a little present for the guys that come to check on him.
Dood Trigger™
I gotta try that. I love doing that sort of thing in RE4 and 5.

Cleared Rumble in the Jungle (Extreme), meaning I got all Freeflow challenges tripled. Now I gotta finish those Predator challenges.
Dood Trigger™
Dude, is there a trick to the one with the three walls + three goons at once? Seems impossible to lure them, and their patrol route is sloooow...

That sounds SO evil, and yet I can see Batman doing things like that easily. And elements such as this are what help make Arkham as great as it is.

It's funny every time. The ladder one is usually a KO too.

Yeah... that one can be a pain. Here's a video of a guy pulling it off, there are quite a few around that can give you an idea of what you can get away with. That big ceiling can count as two walls sometimes, but it's probably best not to bank on that. You will get at least one guy in the room with the destructible ceiling at some point and as long as the guy by the wall near that room doesn't move (he usually doesn't) a sonic batarang should get the third guy you need to head over to the wall on the lower floor. That said sometimes the one guy you don't want to move goes to check out the batarang and you just get fucked. I had to do a lot of waiting around for that one and a lot of retries because someone didn't act quite like I wanted. The somewhat random nature of the guards can make these challenges a more frustrating than they need to be some times.
Dood Trigger™
Thanks, man. I did it following some guy's strategy back when I asked for help. It was basically what you said.

100% challenges done, all Freeflow and Predator.

Invisible Predator (Extreme) was a pain in the ass. Hated pulling three guys with the Batclaw. All the others were a lot of fun. Like I said, I learned many moves from playing these challenges (several context-sensitive commands) and many cool tricks that I'm definitely gonna use, like taking down three goons with one Batarang.

I'll save Hard mode and tedious Platinum crap for next time. As far as the game's content is concerned, I've done everything.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Link's Crossbow Training: Probably not worth getting that POS Zapper, but if you can find it solo it's more or less worth the $1.99.

Just got back from a gaming session with a friend.

We played some S&P2, although the multiplayer isn't that good. Player 2 is merely a crosshair that can shoot normal shots and won't take any damage. Kinda like Super Mario Galaxy's multiplayer, which probably no one really used.

But we got europe 5th on stage 1 and close 2nd on stage 2, fourth place on Stage 3.

We also played Tatsunoko VS Capcom, god that game is hilarously great.
That's a shame, I was hoping for some proper two-player competetive shmupping with S&P2.
