Gave Endless Attack 10 another sot today and got to room 50-something. I think it's kinda harder than EA9 in regards to the damaga eyou can potentially take. Avoiding damage is a lot easer in EA9.

Spent some hours on Wild Arms again, but it's still quite a long way to go for me. My main party is at about lv77, which is pretty neat considering I made about 22 levels in just a few hours.
I even managed to accidentally encounter one of the main superbosses. It was lv90, while my party was just ata round Lv68 - great fight. That beast took me almost 2 hours and nearly managed to wipe my party near the end of battle ...

Which one was it?
Ryu!! You totally missed a urmom moment!!

In other news, Minish Cap is keeping me entertained and filling my need for Zelda. I should be just about to enter the second dungeon, I think.

Leviathan.

Granted, he wasn't that hard. Just grinding him down with mostly 600 and 1000 dmg attacks (it has 210.000HP) took pretty long and turned risky later on when I started getting low broke on health berries.

First thing I'll do tomorrow is upgrade my Gatling Raid ammunition - I don't have these Alter Parts for nothign after all. Guess I'd like some more challenges like that, but without any berries it seems quite impossible to prolong these battles very long (unless I'm overleveled, which defeats the purpose of the challenge too).

if it had the spring ball it wouldn't feel like prime to me. i guess i associate a lot of things with that game, and when it suddenly changes, like when i played the trilogy version, it doesn't feel like i'm playing the same game anymore.

Being able roll around like a mad man without having to stop to wait for a bomb to explode to allow you to continue is awesome and way more fun. Also the Trilogy version might as well be a totally different game because everything about it is retarded except the spring ball.

Thanks for the tips, tomatobob. Shock and Awe (Extreme) is insane. I got to Round 4, there were like 7 enemies left when the timer zeroed...

I got all Riddler challenges at least.

Beat Shock and Awe (Extreme), phew.

It really was damn hard, one of those situations where you'd beg for two or three extra seconds. I also beat the "easier" Shock and Awe. Just to be clear, I don't have to beat this thing on the highest rank for 100%, right? Just beating it is enough... RIGHT? :\

But holy Jesus, is the combat in this game awesome. Simple as it is, it's just so much fun to press the right button with just the right timing and watch Batman destroy everything. It really feels like you're the leader of an orchestra.

Sorry for double post.

I, uh... I've got some bad news for you... Sad

It's hard to give any specific tips for that one, it's certainly the most demanding challenge, coming up just half a second short is not uncommon and is physically painful.

Definitely make sure that you use your instant takedowns very sparingly, they can take a bit of time and you don't have much of that, save it for knife dudes and maybe the odd taser guy since they are the ones that'll really slow you down. Also the ground takedown is worth I think twice as many points so your main goal is to build a combo and get guys on the ground for that as much as possible. I like to open up with the Batclaw to take three oppentes out of the equation for a bit, then start working up to the multiplier to use the takedown or throw, if there's a knife I try knock him out as soon as I hit that multiplier, if not the throw is an option to clear things out a bit and sets up for at least one ground takedown. Don't forget the stun move, I don't think it adds to the combo but it keeps it from running out and can get you some breathing room or at least give you a chance to vault over some guys to get out of a crowd, that will keep your combo running too by the way. Tossing a batarang is a big help with crowd control just make sure never to use one twice in a row or your combo is gone.

I found it best to just ignore the timer and just try to keep up a good tempo on this one, spread the crowd out a bit at the start, take any knives out of the equation, then just start flying around the room putting dudes on the floor and using the ground takedown when the opening is there, and once you've thinned the herd you'll have plenty of openings for that and that's when you should get the most points out of it. The biggest issue will probably be the guns, but your batarangs should prioritize people running for the gun cabinet as long as you aim in their general direction so as long as you keep aware of the situation you should be able to minimize that annoyance.

Probably the trickiest combat challenge, but I found it one of the easier ones to play for points. If you've beaten it once, you can beat it again with more points.

I don't think I'm good enough for that one, but thanks for the help. :)

Started a bit into Cursed Mountain. Don't think I'm even an hour in yet, but so far I'm actually very impressed. The name and box art kind of give off the impression that it's another one of those half-ass budget Wii titles, but aside from a few weird animations it looks great and seems like a lot of effort went into it. It's kind of blatantly ripping off re4 to some degree, but if you're going to rip something off it might as well be the best. I'm also kind of getting an Eternal Darkness vibe from some of the psychological-type spooks they're throwing out there and the creepy chanting, and any game that can remind me of re4 and ED at the same time is absolutely okay by me.

i don't agree with much of what you said, heh. it's not a bad little game, but it certainly doesn't look good, and most of the animations are downright bad. i agree it does rip off re4, but it's not scary/creepy/etc at all because a) the sound sucks and b) the enemy character models suck. also, everything is constantly covered in mist, haze, or darkness, so you can rarely see anything. i'll definitely finish it just because it's short and mildly interesting, but it's not worth a penny more than the $10 i paid for it.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Yeah, I would have totally felt ripped off if I paid anything more, I think. I liked it well enough, but yeah, it's too slow-moving to ever really be scary.

Decided to try out Touhou since I've heard so much about it. At first I didn't know you have a gun, so avoiding everything was pretty hard.

But now I know that you do, in fact, have a gun. and it makes the levels a lot easier. Pretty fun so far.

Defeated Ragul O Ragula.

All that's left are some rather annoying to get ex-file keys, like maxing out Mariel's garden, completing the world map or finding all treasure chests.

What mode you starting out on?

And what game are you playing first? I ask since I am a curious monkey.

um, is there different modes? I know theres different difficulties, and you can chose between the two girls, and then theres something else you can change but its all in Japanese so I jsut go with the first one.

I meant difficulty, yeah...

Subterranean Animism... Not played that yet. I've tried 6, 7 and 8, and made it to Sakuya on 6, finished 7 on Normal (with continues) and made it to Eirin with... one of the teams on 8.

I'd give Easy a shot, but I hear in 6 that the final boss mocks you for playing on Easy, and the player-character leave in embarrassment.

Yeah I've been playing 11 on normal, but haven't been getting very far. Since I can't read Japanese, and to my knowledge they don't have these in english, I didn't really bother to play them in order.
Ready to internet!
There are English patches for the games, including 11. You can find it on this here website, near the bottom. Although last time I tried to patch a game into English, I don't remember too well what happened. I think you need to be running the computer on Japanese languages (not just characters) and then it'll install properly. There's no order to play them in, although if you play later ones first, going to the earlier games will be a little jarring as you find you can't play as certain characters, other characters are bosses and you can't see your hitbox.

And this is the point where I look back on my internet usage and think "This series has consumed me and I've not even beaten more than one of the games."
Club 27 Goals
Just wondering, in 11, where IS the hitbox for your character? It seems like there's been many times where I'm about to die, so I just go in one direction really quick, go through a lazer thingy, and survive when it clearly hit my head and stuff.
