Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Strange that you mention that, as I did exactly the same thing yesterday, although not from the start.

I finished Borderlands (peace of piss final boss), went back to Gears of War, and finished that (really annoying final boss, until you figure out how to remove the Kryll, and then put Bioshock back in.

I played for about a minute to familiarise myself with the controls again, and then continued my game for about five minutes.  I was sucked in.  It was like I'd never left the place.  I still rate this as one of, if not the best atmospheres in ANY game.  It transports you back in time, sucks you in, makes you want to experience every last detail, and doesn't let up.  Rarely have I played a game, especially an FPS, where I'm happy to crawl through the game, so I don't miss anything.

Good god, Ganon's Tower ...

The first route I took put me through some midly annoying rooms ... towards a door locked by the big key. Next route I took lead me to the chest containing the the red armor. Then my magic bar went dry (also no refills left) on what seemed to be the way to the big key. And I had already passed the teleporter maze.

No kidding. My brother and I played through the game together, and when we got to that thing we literally just sat in one place and blasted it to oblivion. Never touched either of us from what I remember. (Was funny though - We killed it, and just as we see the huge cloud of "item debris" come flying out if it, the final cutscene/credits stared to roll. Luckily they put you back there once you're done so you can run and collect everything, which ended up being pretty pathetic in the end for us as far as quality of those items is concerned.)

Yeah, there isn't much to say about that.  It's a pain.  It's only failiar to me now, as I've played it enough times over the years.

Only real tip I can give is to not miss the refill room on the east of the third floor.  You need to run into the two odd-looking blocks at the end of the bridge to 'jump' over the hole.  There're fairies inside, as well as a magic refill.

Yeah.  I don't think that the item quality is linked with the enemy's strength at all.  I've got some of the best items from the most basic of grunts, as well as, as you mentioned, trash from bosses.  The boss was definitely a let-down.  After the ramp up in difficulty when you finally encounter the Crimson Lance, and battling your way through, to face a final boss that weak, with a HUGE critical damage spot, seemed ridiculous.

I really don't see what allll this fuss about Bioshock is. Its a great game, but idk just doesn't really stand out to me :|

Maybe once I beat it I'll have enjoyed it more.
Not impossible
just highly unlikely
Would you kindly give Bioshock another try?

Yeah I was planning on playing it more later today once I'm done babysitting my little sister. I don't think its the kind of game she should watch me play :3

It really works! O.o
Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!
Hehe, that was very apt, as I'd passed that part but twenty minutes ago. Razz
Armor Guardian
Beat MM10 on hard mode. Clear time: 3:56:36.

Maybe it's just me, or the fact that I stocked up on so many Shock Guards and Beat calls and E-Tanks, but the fortress didn't seem much harder than normal mode. The only stage where I had any real trouble was Wily 4, but that's mostly because I completely forgot about the half-damage item (again).
I put on some wrinkly clothes, a baseball cap, and sunglasses and made myself go to the store to get GoW3.  Now I'm too exhausted to play it.  Hopefully tonight I will.
Ready to internet!
Replaying a copy of SML2 that a friend gave me.

The save battery wasn't working for some reason, so I took it, played it for a while and found out that the battery was dead. Then I left it in a GBA SP whilst the SP was charging, and it was keeping a save again!
Just played the first hour of GoW3.  Holy crap!  This is what action gaming is all about.  Amazing so far!

Playing Pokemon SoulSilver
Any body made far into to Kanto yet?
I just now got this game today and got 1 badge. I choose Cyndiquil as my main Pokemon and I think he is the best because not only he can do fire attacks but also use a thunderattacks like the TM move called Thunderpunch(when he involves into Typholison in which I will use) just to kill alot of annoying Water-type Pokemon in this game like I did in the Old Skool version.

I love the 3-D graphics so far and the remake of the first Gym in Violet City blew me away when I first entered! =D

Still waiting on my copy of HeartGold, but it's going to finally arrive today. Once it does, Totodile and I will be on our way just like old times.

Yeah, I've seen some of the new gym layouts already from watching others play, and Violet Gym is definitely cool.

Currently playing Battlefield: Bad Company 2 and Final Fantasy 13. I can say battlefield requires that u be good AND win to actually level up. And Final fantasy is epic so far, i can honestly say the only bad thing about it is the cap for (Dunno if this is a spoil but oh well) leveling up your crystarium until u progress further in the game. Atleast u can stock pile the points for future spending.

Started Silent Hill: Shattered Memories.

It's interesting. I'm not very far into it, just cleared the second Nightmare.

The psych test and the phone are really cool additions, I love being able to draw my own marks on the map (even though I probably won't, don't have as much patience with taking notes as the old Silent Hill 2 days).

The Nightmares are intense and I love them, especially because Harry just storms in and out of places and you don't have to waste much time pressing buttons, it's just running for your life. I must admit that I would still prefer having more videogame-y items like ammo and healing items scattered around to collect, the mementos aren't doing it for me so far.

But the scariest thing about this game is: where the hell are the load times? O_O Very nice job with that, Climax.
I've gotten quite a lot of positive input from a friend who's been playing it for some days now. Ironically, the nightmare sequences are the only part he's really putting down. The atmosphere seems to be fine enough for a Silent Hill game.

I'd like to buy it, but I'm kinda low on money right now, since I've spent most of it on Estpolis and SoulSilver (both are soon to arrive. I HOPE D:). But I'm also interested in Fragile Dreams. Might buy this one instead of Shattered Memories if I'm okay with what US reviews will be delivering.

Going to start Rockman Rockman hard mode now. Will be working on a stage afterwards.

If you're used to the MW2 concept of leveling up then it takes a bit to get used to Bad Comapny 2's system.

Pro-tips: Do not play recon unless you're actually going to use the motion sensing bombs and mortar strikes, I absolutely can't stand Recons wwho don't use the dam motion sensors. Yesterday playing on a map where we had to blow up the MCOM stations, over half my team were playing as recons and not a SINGLE one was using any mortar strikes or throwing down ANY motion sensing bombs. I told them to either throw their balls down or switch classes, and as soon as I said that my whole minimap was filled with motion sensing balls everywhere.

OH and if you want lots of really really easy points play as a medic. Get the M60 and defibrillator(sp?), and throw down medkits. MAKE SURE you're in a full squad if you're going to play as a helpful medic.
Just did another normal run on MM10, got 0:48. Still couldn't quite make it beating it single segment without dying, though.

sounds like i'm going to have to get this game. haven't played either of the others, but it looks pretty damn good, especially how the "cutscenes" are actually rendered.

the overhaul is indeed really cool. might just be the best handheld game i've ever played.

I made some progress in Shattered Memories, several more Nightmares done, and the story is getting interesting.

The "Nightmare" inside the car was amazing. I don't know if that one counts as a Nightmare since everything goes back to normal about a minute later, or if it's part of the Alchemilla Nightmare. The wheelchair bit was also pretty neat, I was hoping we could run the whole dungeon like that (with an easier path, of course). Rest of Alchemilla was easy at least.

There was a safe at the Mall that I couldn't open, but it's not like I'm missing a ton of bonus ammo, am I right, ha-ha, ha... ha ha...

Then at the Cinema, Contra, Gradius and Rush'n Attack (best worst pun EVAR) arcade cabinets! Great! Wish you could play those.

The HOLE: no "jump" prompt? Okay, at least we get to see what they see while they fall. And the second one with the "movie" was brilliant. But other than that, maze Nightmare suuuucked. Why does it always have to be mazes?

Saved and quit when I reached the Amusement Park. I think I'm close to the end now. The game is pretty cool, but I can't recommend it unless you're a real die hard fan of the series.

Been playing pokemon HG at night, but pretty much all day today I've been playing that "new" online digimon game that came out. By "new" I mean it came out in Japan in 2002, but didn't come out until yesterday here in the US.

I'm really enjoying the battle system, but o lawds I had to mute the game within 30 minutes of playing. everything is either super happy kid techno-y music, or happy electric guitar battle music.

If anyone's interested: http://digimonbattle.wemade.net/main/main.asp#self

Oh and a friend of mine recommend that I try Vampire The Masquerade-Bloodlines... so I'm gonna download it and see what its all about.
I'm about 6.5 hours into GoW3.  The game seems kinda easy, but maybe that's because I've played the first two alot.  Still really enjoying it though.
