I finished Corruption on Hyper twice. Can't remember why. Maybe one of the emblems?

Anyway, Mogenar and Dark Samus were the hardest bits. Overall I liked the challenge.

Finished my 100% run on Ninja Gaiden Sigma Normal, started Hard, missed a Fiend Challenge. :\ FML.

I finished corruption on hyper a couple of times too.  The only really challenging part for me is mogenar.  I seem to recall dying a couple of times on the aurora unit the first time I fought it on hyper, but it was still cake compared to the asshole in charge of the bryyonian seed.
Heh, whoops. Sorry about that. (Should've specified I was talking to Toozin or something)

As far as Hypermode is concerned, Mogenar is definitely one of the more challenging parts of those runs. Although, a 22% Hypermode run makes most of the bosses completely insane if you're not careful, and Phaaze is a pure pain in the butt to get through without losing your mind trying to just get to the final bosses. Normal ememies aren't really that much of a problem as far as I rememeber, although again there are certain battles that can be annoying if you don't do things properly. (Like Skyway Access)

prince of persia: the two thrones.

only an hour in but i'm fucking love this game so far. it's like everything good from tsot + everything good from ww and none of the bad. better music, the return of tsot's voice narrative, yuri lowenthal, tighter controls, faster movement ... yeah, definitely shaping up to be great.
Armor Guardian
Replaying through MMX2. Decided to do a random order, which ended up being:

Ostrich -> Gator -> Crab -> Moth -> Snail -> Sponge -> Stag -> Centipede (All items (backtracking as needed), All Zero parts)

Now onto the fortress!
Not impossible
just highly unlikely

Fuck yeah. I don't like it quite as much as SoT, but it's really really close.

RE Yuri Lowenthal: I have honestly gotten games solely because he's a VA in them, that's how awesome he is. Him and Cam Clarke are easily my top two VAs.
Just beat Ozma (goddamn auto-regen makes him trivial). This marks the first time ever I finished all secret bosses in a Final Fantasy game.
Ready to internet!

Congrats! Did you do the sidequest to make him weak to standard attacks?

I'm not playing it right now, but I've heard that because of the EU being overly-sensitive to the slots in Pokémon, they're not in Heart Gold and Soul Silver. Instead, they're replaced with something called Voltorb Flip, which is apparently a mix between Picross and Minesweeper. The purist in me is bitching, the "kid-who-wants-to-collect-the-pokeymans" in me is going to drop £35 for the remake.
I'm still playing corruption on hypermode.  Is the trilogy version's hypermode more difficult than hypermode on the original release?  I've died 3 times trying to kill ridley and I don't think he killed me at all on my previous hypermode playthroughs, which were on the original.
Not sure, seeing as I'm pretty sure I haven't played hypermode since my 22% run in 08. It would be odd that they'd increase the difficulty again for the trilogy version, since it can be hard enough anyway.

Yeah, though it's not much of a difference at all I think. Could have just replaced Steiner mit Freya and spammed her 9999 Skill instead of Steiner's 9999 skill. :p Although Steiner's best skill might be long-range anyways, hmm ..

What slots?
Good thing I'm going to get the US anyways. :p

Unless this article is wrong, there are slots in Goldenrod. I can't remember as it's been years since I played Gold or Silver, but I remember there were slots somewhere in Gold and Silver. They neutered the slots in EU Platinum by making it so that they were unplayable, but you could still get coins by examining them to see if people had left any coins in the machines. So instead of risking turning kids into gamblers, they're instead turning them into scroungers.

This country annoys me to no end sometimes...
Finally killed Ridley on hypermode.  I got the tip I needed by watching a fight on youtube.  By going into hypermode everytime Ridley did his aerial bombing attack, I didn't take any damage.  It made enough of a difference that I killed him with 6 tanks left!  Moving on.

So, today I actually gave FF VI another shot - which lasted for about 25 minutes. The PS port is just terribly slow, guess I'll just wait for another (better) port/remake to buy (how about a freaking VC release?).

I'm now playing FF IV Advance on my GBPlayer, which is much more fun than FF VI (PS) so far.

So I restarted my Hard mode 100% run on Ninja Gaiden Sigma.

Still haven't learned my lesson and did not create multiple saves. It bothers me to see an abandoned save floating out there along with my complete files... #OCD (Do you people Tweet? Witty hash-tagging is the new HTML </end> tag, haha.)

Now I have a list with all Fiend Challenges handy. I don't care about the prizes that aren't permanent upgrades, though I am aiming for at least all kills. It's not a Karma run because I'm not being that careful with UTs and stuff, but I want to fight every fight in the game.

At Chapter 7 now, right before the Fiend Challenge I had missed. That was pretty fast actually. Didn't waste my Talisman of Rebirth against the Chapter 6 final battle, that's a first.
One shall stand, one shall ball.

There's a GBA version of VI.

But anyway, yeah, there is a GBA version of FFVI, and it's amazingly good.
I know about FF VI Advance, but I'm going to keep away from it because of the worse GBA audio.

It's not drastically worse and unless you played the SNES version religiously you probably wouldn't notice anyway.

The PS1 port already butchered the audio quality, and added annoying load times, yet you were willing to put up with that? Sure the GBA sound quality isn't that good either, but it has zero load times and a far better translation. It's at least worth checking out.

He wasn't, actually.

He said he did put up with it for 25 minutes :p
It's not just the load times. I read that the game was generally slowed down, which seems true to me.
