Opium, you'll start getting a huge Zelda vibe soon, especially once you get to the first "dungeon" and get your first gear, which operates exactly like an item from Wind Waker. The opening apocalypse part is the most closed-in and linear part of the game, and I'm guessing you're not too far beyond it yet.
I'm almost done with Silent Hill 2 - Saved right after I exit from the labyrinth. That part of the game was annoying. I once nearly died just from bumping into Pyramid Head. And I mean BUMPING, as I'm sure he really didn't even attack me ...

Playing Crash Bandicoot 2 now. Nostalgia etc., was one of my first PS games ever and haven't played this since about 10 years.
Ready to internet!

Items?  I know I saw what looked like a gun in the Ghosts and Goblins area, but that was the path that led away from Mecha Birdo.  I haven't seen anything yet in the Metroid area unless it's that well hidden (probably so).

I can see it now.  You enter the empty room, you hear Protoman's whistle, he drops in, drops the energy balancer, teleports out.  As you go to grab the item, Apples from nowhere home in at you from all four directions.

Okay, that's one of the items I missed.

When you enter the Metroid Area (where you go down and left and Mother Brain is there), sit around for a few seconds. You'll see something appear.
Metrod area? Ghouls'n'Goblins area? The fuck are you playing?

It's called 'I Wanna Be The Guy' and it's harder than shit.

I played up to the second screen. I call that plain cheap, not hard. It's like that one flash game that's all about guessing spots on which you won't die.

Mister ...
Yeah, memorization and some luck and skill required.  Also a fuck-load of patience.  The only thing that playing on an easier difficulty does for you is make extra save points appear, but even then they can be spread out pretty far apart.

Also, Mista, I got the upgrade in the Metroid Area, then died before I could hit the save point.  Thankfully you still keep it ... right?  Anyways, what does it do, exactly?  My shots don't seem any more powerful, to be honest.  Or do you have to collect both items for it to actually do anything?

At least IWBTG is clever with it's bullshit, that's more than any recent "hard" games made by professional developers can say.
Anywhere, everywhere
I recently got Resident Evil 5 and have been playing through that. It's really quite awesome, and it's pretty much just more of RE4 which is perfectly fine in my book!
red chamber dream
plus insane graphics. a winning combination.

I've heard that a couple of items will let you have an extra shot on-screen, and added range, but they're really just bragging right items. And yes, you keep the item. Oddly enough, I made a new save file on Very Hard mode, and the Room of Divine Transportation had some items in even though it was the third room I'd visited.

Well, I'm on my way to fight Kraidgief along the Kirby path.  I think I'll be on my way to The Castle of the Guy once I finish that up too.  And then, more clever bullshit! :D
SOTN is freaking addicting, though the game's way too easy. I don't use any potions and still don't have much trouble at all.

Also beat Silent Hill 2 yesterday. Seems like it's about time to get back to REmake.
That's my one gripe with SOTN, difficulty. Other than that, it's one of those games that just feels perfect.

Uncharted 2 is annoyingly good. I can usually find things about a universakky adored game which make it unplayable for me (I did with Uncharted 1) but the sequel just has fantastic pacing, gameplay and, of course, graphics.

Can't believe I actually did make 50 points in the Clock Town arrow shooting game.

Some of the heart pieces are just downright crazy.

^ I'm collecting the remaining heart pieces from my Majora's Mask run I did last summer.
Soul Calibur II is fantastic, I love it. The graphics are still brilliant, and, although Link's moveset is minute, he can easily whoop anyone else.

I hate the swamp shooting gallery the most.  Aiming with the wiimote rocks the GCN controller any day.

The MM shooting minigames are really easy. And I couldn't play the OOT ones for shit so that's saying something.

I didn't find the shooting games in any Zelda game particularly hard. Maybe TP, I haven't played that in a while.

How are you meant to get enough money to buy the Duplicator in SOTN? Is there somewhere that you can get more than $2000 in one go?

Maybe the Classic Controller's analog stick just sucks. Should play this with a GCN controller, I guess.
I'm playing NSMB Wii with two 7 year olds.  I'm basically trying to eliminate all of the hazards in their way to reduce their screams.  I have a massive headache.
give them some drugs.

Actually I just gave myself some:  60mg of oxycontin, 3 drops of THC tincture, and I have some xanax if that doesn't work.
I'm loading up the old BFG 10K and playing some Quake II deathmatch (yes, people still play it nowadays...)!!!

Just spend all of eternity going back and forth in the Reverse Caverns.  One of the candles near where the mermaid statue is in the main castle drops a bag of $2000.

Or you can sell all your duplicate items, grind with the Jewel Sword (Probably the easiest, as it makes enemies drop more jewels), or just mindlessly wander as you level up.  I pretty much did all the above to get it.  :P
