Afaik there was a bunch of bonus weapons and items from the original's time trials too

I always thought it was bizarre to design all the bosses around just having a sword and bow for the entire game and then give you superfluous toys after you've already beaten everything, instead of designing some bosses around these items

But it was probably just the result of the mountain of scrapped content the original game was supposed to have

So this seems to be a pretty disappointing remake in the same vein as Wind Waker

Finished Kirby's Adventure this week, first time playing. Not much to say about this that people haven't said a million times. Beautiful game. There are things about Kirby gameplay that I'm still getting used to (I keep forgetting to exhale!), but even in my most noob-y moments, the levels, powers and presentation in this game are just a joy.

I beat the file 100%, then the Extra Game where you only get half HP and can't save.

Playing some dumb ass weeb shit (that's actually pretty good as a game).

Why not play the remake that's way better?

I do intend to play the remake at some point, just wanted to start with the originals. I'm still new to Kirby. Only beat this and the original Super Star.

I should get around to finishing super star. Been busy shiny hunting XD
Kirbys are consistently fine but everything on the DS and 3DS blurs together in my mind, there's nothing noteworthy about any of them. I'd just play Amazing Mirror and 64 and then you've basically seen everything

Planet Robobot was pretty good. And hard at times *cough* True Arena *cough*
Yeah it was pretty good, just like all the other ones. True Arena somehow manages to feel the same in every game even though the bosses are different

Battle Royale was meh
Well when I say Kirby I'm not including spin-offs which I don't care for at all

I never got to play Triple Deluxe I heard it was good though
red chamber dream
ahem the remake of adventure is certainly not better
red chamber dream
be sure to play the original dream land too if you haven't already. i like it almost as much as adventure, what a classic little game
red chamber dream
i gotta play some of the newer games. last one i played was the one with like a million kirbys, it wasn't great

think i'll play return to dream land next
red chamber dream
oh canvas curse is great too
Dood Trigger™
Will probably do Dream Land 1-3 next Kirby wise. I'm not in a hurry so it'll be a while.

Had a great time with Adventure though. I feel like I'm just getting the hang of the movement, even after 100%ing Super Star
red chamber dream
i mostly just fly over everything in the older games ;)
Amateur Speedrunner, Roleplayer
I do that if I can get away with it

Got the shiny Latias I was hunting
congrats!

i just beat tales of berseria. weakest combat in the series i've experienced. everything else great
a proper world map would have been nicevthough
red chamber dream
huh did you play zesteria? if so how does it compare?

i still need to play both

skipped xillia 1&2 and zestiria. dunno if i wanna go back and play them. maybe if i end up in a jrpg drought in a few years

oh yeah, the music in berseria is super forgettable. only song i even noticed comes up in a cross-over fight so i'm sure it's from another game.
red chamber dream
that's disappointing, although i can't say i remember a single song from any tales game, so maybe not surprising

i skipped xillia 2 myself, that just seemed like too much
