i fell for the volume one even though i was playing on an hdtv where the volume indicator definitely isn't huge and green

but i grew up with older tvs that did have the old school volume indicator, so it was burned into my memory

Nah, I mostly do quests. Exploring the non-town areas in the game is super fun.

iirc i used melia for healing and she was pretty good at that, i don't really remember it well though

She's decent for manual control in the early game, but at some point Riki and Shulk more than make up for a lack of a dedicated healer.

On my first playthrough I used Sharla until I got Melia and used her from then on as an NPC and only started controlling her here and there veeery late in the game.

The game is easy enough you can have those characters in your party with no real problems. It's just not ideal.

Well, I beat Xenoblade late last night. Amazing game, albeit really long. $20 for a game with this much charm and content was a steal for me. Granted, I'll probably never replay it, but it's definitely grown to be one of my favorites.

Isn't it weird how they called it Resident Evil 4 even though it's the only Resident Evil game?
