Gotta love people on the internet bitching about F4's graphics and glitches. It's a Bethesda game, you should know what you're getting into by this point.
I think it looks amazing anyway. It might not be up to par in terms of raw graphical fidelity, and those animations are still goofy, but the wasteland looks legitimately jaw-dropping. Tons of colorful, varied terrain with great lighting. Also, after playing pretty much all day, I had maybe one glitch where i had to push a guy I was supposed to be following through a doorway because he temporarily forgot how to walk. That's well above average for Bethesda.
Oh wait, I forgot there was another time where Dogmeat bit a guy's face off and that somehow made him rocket 50 feet into the air and sail off into parts unknown. I don't really want to count that though because it made me very happy.
Probably the first time I hear Woolly World is hard. I thought the consensus was that the game is insultingly easy. I guess just beating the game and going 100% must be two different beasts.
Yeah if anyone plays the game simply to get to the end of every level then I can understand why they would call it easy. I don't know why anyone over age 8 would play it that way, though.
Still playing Prime on wiiu. One thing I love about the wiiu ver is that you never have to wait for a door to open. There's no loading times at all between rooms, and this makes a noticeable difference.
Yeah but my fav part of this playthrough is that I've waited long enough since the last time that I played that it feels fresh. I actually got lost twice. And I'm reading all the scans as if it were my first time playing. I wish I could make all my games fresh again. I could try a chemical lobotomy, but it's too risky.
In other news, nintendo's badge arcade for 3DS is available in the eshop for free. I just blew ten bucks in there and got several dozen badges. It's cheap, kinda stupid, but kinda fun too.
I wonder if the load times are better for Corruption as well... some doors in that game take forever.
The disc version is about the same, but I believe I've heard loading is improved on the digital version. Which, if you're going to get Trilogy, is the only sensible option at this point anyway with those crazy prices.
Yeah, you kinda feel like playing this game forever in that scenario. So good. It's almost overwhelming being able to go (pretty much) anywhere after you play such a restrictive Metroid like Other M.
Quick run (for me anyway), took about 1:40, but I spent half an hour trying to cross the missile lake without Speed Booster/Grapple. Still can't do it, and even if I do there's still Phantoon to worry about. But I'm getting more confident at least. What I'm not getting more confident at is fighting Ridley... >_> I wonder if I'll ever beat this guy without nearly having a heart attack.
I've been looking at several comparisons between the TP HD ver and the original versions, and it looks like the lines are a lot sharper. If bloom bugged you then you will probably feel that the HD ver is an improvement.
Finished Prime lastnight for the first time in a long time. 100%, normal, 5:13 (lol). I got all items but I missed one scan, dammit. On to Echoes, now!
Btw, does anyone have any friend vouchers they want to turn into friend credits?
Oh goodness, I would've thought they would include some sort of fix with the VC release, but I guess not! I shouldn't really be surprised given the general disregard Nintendo seems to hold toward Metroid of late.
not just metroid, but their entire core fanbase. if you liked nintendo games in the 90s, nintendo has no interest in pleasing you at the moment. we'll see what they do with the nx but i'm getting less and less hopeful.
