I've been reluctant to play Undertale since it just oozed with pretentious indie garbage feelings. My buddy forced me to play to the end of the tutorial and I haven't stopped playing since. It's surprisingly really really good.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts on it.

Hmmm...
The puzzles are about as "hard" as I imagined they would be. If you've played an RPG you can easily beat this one.
I'm also absolutely amazed at the attention to detail with the writing, and how different each playthrough can be. At my friend's house, he made the mistake of killing someone early on and felt horrible for it, so he restarted the game (as in, closing it out completely without saving). When he got to the person again, the dialouge changed and she mentioned "it looks like you've seen a ghost!", and after accidentally killing her again, the person in the next room said something along the lines of "wow, you must like killing her, don't you? How many more times until your bloodthirst is satisfied?". And this is all during the tutorial.
Also the music is charming as fuck.

It's a MEME GAME.
I actually didn't fucking want to play it or enjoy it. I really didn't. It was 3AM and I was about to go to bed but I was forced to play it. And it's great.
I've seen someone play through the first bit and it looks like it has some great mechanics, but i dunno if it would be my thing. But literally every person on earth is singing its praises, so maybe I ought to give it a go myself.
The humor doesn't kick in really until after the first bit. The music and scenery is really keeping me into it for longer than I thought, and now I just wanna keep playing to see where it goes. It's pretty short anyway.
Chibi Robo is fun but there's some flaws that pop out once the charm wears off a little. I also played Sonic 2 3D on 3DS. It has tons of display options, as well as a recording feature. It kind of looked like crap though - colors seemed flat. Maybe I need to mess with the display some more. There were two times when I got stuck in a wall or went through something solid to my death. Both happened during the very fast parts of Chemical Plant zone. That happened sometimes on the original too iirc.

The original manual talks about Dr Robotnik's devious speed traps, and the only one I ever found was in Chemical Plant Zone. It's not a bug, it's a FEATURE!
Sonic 2 is particularly bad with its visually confusing topography. I never had much trouble with the other Genesis games. Btw remember the original hardware was limited to 16 colors on screen, that's probably why the colors look flat in comparison to modern games.

lol give me a break! Did they really try to pass that off as on-purpose?
Zip-Lash is really showing its flaws now. Later in the game you're required to make very precise zip-lashes (throwing your plug) and the controls are shit for accuracy. It requires more luck than anything. There are levels where you have one shot to get it right, and if you miss then you have to replay the entire level over again if you want to try again. I missed about 3 dozen times lastnight and then rage quit, then tried again this morning and missed at least that many times again. You just can't get it to go where you want it to go, you kind of just have to rely on chance. I'm only half way through the game, and these parts are happening more frequently, so thinking of just stopping. If they had just made everything like the first world then I would be having fun. And the amiibo unlocks so much stuff in the game that I feel like I have only half a copy of the game - and I have no way of buying the amiibo unless I buy another copy of the game - which is horse shit.
