As a white hetero male, I can't even describe the constant oppression I face. Every time a gay character is added to a videogame it's like a piece of my soul dies.
not so much bugs as stuff like the monster sounds aren't all that great, the camera is apparently weird, stuff like that
also most of the complaints i'm reading seem to be focused on the campaign, which i have never cared about in heroes games ... the general gemplay seems like it's better than vi's
Last of Us is fun. And pretty, so pretty. I know nothing about the tech, but these graphics must be some kind of ridiculous achievement. I can't think of a more impressive looking game for the PS3. Story's interesting and the dialogue is great.
Not sure how to tell exactly where I am. It's the part after the various Clicker rooms at night in that one crumbling building, and it is now day time again. About 3 hours in.
I'm playing on Normal and it feels like Easy, although I am sucking pretty bad at being stealthy. Losing enemies when I get caught is still fairly effortless so far, and Joel sure can take a lot of damage. Plenty of rooms where you can choose to fight or be stealthy or ignore enemies completely, which is awesome (sometimes I do wonder what is the deal with specific rooms, though, since you can often just dash to the exit and it feels like the game wanted me to be there a while longer). Haven't had any trouble with resources.
MGSV is kinda fun except for the fact that the story makes no fucking sense.
But even some of my MGS friends say the story is kind of screwed up anyway and there's tons of speculation about it. I need to find a speed run of the old games, but a run where the runner actually plays all the cutscene and dialogue. Or better yet, just an abridged or tldr video seriies.
I think part of what helped them were the fact they were one of the first real cinematic style games. Kojima really wanted to make movies, but making movies in games were the next easiest thing. I feel like if the series had started today, it wouldn't be appreciated nearly as much and it'd just be seen as this weird game.
I remember the first metal gear on NES was pretty popular and that was before the cinematics. I could be wrong, but the use of stealth seemed pretty new and added realism at a time when the standard was just to shoot everything.
it wasn't originally on nes, but yeah that was a majorly groundbreaking game. i know some people who still consider it their favorite of the entire series
