I played a little of arkham knight, and it was all batmobile. He was stuck at some part where you had to run a course in the batmobile within a time limit. I did it on the first try after a 20 second controls tutorial that he gave me. It just felt really good - super responsive and tight. I've still never completed any of the batman games. I played the first one for a couple of hours and then some bug gave me no choice but to start over so I said fuck it.
Trying to 100% Other M. I'm trying over and over to get that one upgrade in sector 1 where you have to fire a super missile while sliding down a slope. The whole mechanic of pointing the wiimote at the screen is the worst idea in this game. It doesn't work well enough to pull off with the kind of efficiency needed to get this item, and each time you fail you have to speed boost all the way back to the top of the ramp, and you have to be lined up perfectly otherwise samus will barely bump a plant on here side and the speed boost won't work. It's so fucking ridiculous.
ugh tropical freeze can be really clumsy sometimes ... some of the animations take so long that the game doesn't let you react in time, even when it feels like you should be able to. like any time you bump into a wall there's a long ass animation where you can't do anything at all. really annoying in such a precise platformer
Yesterday I finished A Link to the Past again. First time I beat this game in one day (part of that big marathon I'm doing). And it was by far the most fun I had on this whole marathon thing. I love how useful all the items are, how so many of them are optional, and how much difference the order you get them makes. I remember at least 3 dungeons where I had extra keys at the end because of items that made navigation and puzzle solving easier, like Cane of Somaria and Hookshot.
And I'm so happy I remembered everything. I've only played through this game 2 or 3 times before and always needed a guide at some point, but yesterday, even though I still got stuck every now and then, I ended up figuring it out quickly (like the thing you do to open Turtle Rock... that's what I get for playing with low sound :\).
Really should play this game more often. That was too much fun :)
I hate the DKCR world 5 boss! The first time I played this game, I died a bazillion times just trying out how to damage him, and then having to go on youtube to find out. I'm there again, and once again it totally escapes me after 15 mins of trying everything. Guess it's off to youtube again for this ridiculous boss.
hmm i don't remember any of the dkcr bosses being hard, but in tr i definitely had to look up a few strats. about to fight the world 5 boss in that game myself, in fact
doesn't look like i'll ever play arkham knight from what i've heard about it. seems like they didn't fix any of the stuff i didn't like about city, and city was just insufferable after a certain point
rotfl i heard about that ... wtf is up at rocksteady that their pc version isn't even superior to the consoles
Mostly the fact that it wasn't Rocksteady itself that handled the port. And/or that WB pushed the deadline.

You're not wrong, in that it's very much an upgraded version of AC.
