Just did the Twinmold fight in MM 3D. I had no idea you could pick up those spherical stones and throw them at twinmold for a one-hit stun. There's two of them there and if you miss and the stone lands outside of the battle area then it's gone, but if you manage to hit him with each one then it shortens the fight significantly. I also didn't realize that giant link can roll onto the little baby twinmolds to kill them all much faster.
I know this isn't the thread it was discussed in, but I think I finally figured out the high jump issue in DKCR. You can hold down the button at any time before impact with the enemy. You don't need to time pressing it right before or right at the moment of impact. You just have to make sure that you let go of A after your first jump, then after that you can re-press it and hold it down until you strike the enemy. This can get difficult when you have diddt's jetpack because you may already be holding A for the jetpack, and once the jetpack runs out you often have a very short amount of time in which to let go of A and re-press it.
Welp, since framerate issues eventually rendered AK unplayable for the time being, I think it's time to switch back to my latest binge, Plants vs. Zombies: Garden Warfare multiplayer.
Playing Other M for some reason. Playing wii games on the wiiu gamepad feels weird at first, but it works.
I've died like 6 times in a row trying to get past the lava in sector 3. It's very difficult to avoid being knocked into the lava, and once you get in the lava there's no way to get out of it, you just have to sit there and die. I don't ever remember dying at all in this game, let alone multiple times in one area. I'm missing something.
Oh, yeah. Iirc when you press a directional button at the moment Samus is attacked she'll just dodge in the direction you pressed. So I think all you need to do is stand around, shoot at your enemies, and keep spaming the appropriate directional button.
I eventually got past that part. Bitching about it seems to do the trick more than anything.
Yeah I do the sense move often, but these hits occur in midair and you can only do the sense move on the ground. Once samus is in the lava she can't get out. Jump doesn't work. All you can do is sit there. Well, you can move around a little but you can't get out. Sucks.
I'm playing Arkham Knight, and I'm just not feeling it, for whatever reason.... The visuals are absolutely incredible, but I'm not a fan of how heavy they're pushing the Batmobile stuff, plus the story's just not gelling with me right now.
At least the freeflow combat system has remained so perfect.
Edit: oh I should point out I'm on PS4. The issues with PC version are pretty ridiculous - don't know how that one gets through
The Batmobile is shilled by the developers to a truly obnoxious degree, but it's also designed in such a way that it's more optional than you might think at first. Which is good, because grapnel boost gliding is still faster and forever more fun.
