doesn't it make sense to not enjoy something you're not good at? you seem to be saying that being bad at games isn't a valid reason not to like them
people like doing things they're good at
That position makes perfect sense, yes, but that's not what I'm arguing against. What I'm saying has NOTHING to do with skill or ability to play. It's merely that the majority of people, whom I've seen, that make the rash assumption that bad graphics = bad games tend to be either really old or really young. My youngest cousin is in that group, but her skill is incredible when it comes to most videogames.
If a game has shifty graphics it means they don't care about the basics of representing their game.
there's a difference between bad graphics and graphics that just look dated. Bad graphics to me at least is sit like sonic 06, where some models look okay and others are dog shit, the coloring and texturing is just lazy, constantly clipping, etc. But of course there's also games from that Era that look wonderful without being more technologically advanced, like pikmin.
It's very rare that younger kids care about graphics, I know for a fact you're making that up because look at how popular mine craft is.
Only time I can think if where a games graphics prevented me from playing it was morrowind.
When people complain about graphics, usually they're actually talking about aesthetics. Graphic technology changes with the times, and people who aren't idiots understand that, but something that looks good or bad artistically is going to always look that way, regardless of the time or context.
Almost done with LoS. This game reminds me so much of GoW. I should have started on hard mode because the bosses aren't even coming close to killing me. I thought for sure Carmilla would take me down. I should finish it tonight.
I went online looking for LoS 2 and I didn't realize it was a rare game. I thought for sure one of my local gamestops would have a used copy, but no. I checked a couple of other used game stores and they also have none. Thank goodness for the PS Store, although I would have liked to have paid a little less for a game that's been out this long.
