Nothing like that has happened to me in a long time. The tools that come with Win8 have been pretty effective. I really don't know if it came with the rom or not, because I did accidentally download some executable, although I was sure to delete it instead of opening it. Anyways, I was playing the game and all kinds of crazy shit started happening on my puter. Then I noticed the chrome logo didnt look right. My browser had been replaced by some crazy crap. Then when I went to uninstall programs, there was like 20 things there! I started deleting but as soon as I cut one head off, another would appear. I couldn't locate which one was the trojan fast enough, so I did a total system restore to a few days ago - and the fucker was still infected. Had to do a 90 minute scan to find it.
Why are y'all playing Castlevania 64 when Legacy of Darkness exists? It has more content and the original game is polished up a bit. It's still not amazing but the whole package is objectively better.
Definitely going to play Legacy of Darkness sometime. It's just that I already knew CV64 pretty well (at least the route from watching Cosmo speedrun it) so that sounded more feasible to beat in one day.
I got tired of HW. I 100%ed regular and master quest, and maxed leveled every character, and by then I was too burned out to care about the twilight or majora maps.
I'm all for Wind Waker characters, but there's no way I'm getting the 3ds version. One is enough for me, thanks. Maybe I'll luck out and a friend will get it so I can do whatever transfer business is going on there.
I'm not exactly burned out on HW but it's not a game I'm going to focus on exclusively. It's great to have around as something to do between games, or as something to play while the wife has something dumb on tv that I want to half pay attention to. I've git the major stuff in the main map and master quest map and also haven't touched the others yet. I imagine I'll beat it completely someday, but I'm in no rush.
There's not enough info to tell how different it is yet, but the map they show is exactly the same as the Hyrule Field map on Wii U, so... probably the same game.
One nice thing though is that you can switch between characters mid mission by tapping their icon on the touch screen. REALLY hope that gets patched into the Wii U version.
I can't imagine it will run well on the 3DS. The 3DS hardware is so lacking, it can't possibly be able to handle everything on the screen like it can on the wiiu version.
Hell, they can't even have the 8 vs on smash, not sure how they're going to handle HW.
I'd have to see it to really believe it, considering my harvest moon game slogs down just going into the main village (talkin' 15FPS here), even Animal Crossing did that from time to time.
Maybe it's just really well optimized, or just has a better framerate on the New 3DS. Youtube videos are limited to 30fps anyway, and when it's slowed down it looks like it's running at about half compared to the wiiu version just eyeballing it.
Of course though, it's on a handheld so portability is the biggest factor, nobody is buying it because they'd rather sit at home and play it on a 3DS instead of a WiiU, so I doubt graphics mean much of anything as long as it's playable.
