nah, the requirement was for a pentium processor, which is a super old chipset from intel, like from the early 00s (or maybe as far back as the 90s). your computer certainly has at least a core 2 or i3, both of which WAY outperform pentiums.

the min reqs do say your computer can handle it. we already went over that :P

You mean about doubling the processor speed if it's dual?  I wasn't sure if that was answered definitely.  Maybe I'm going senile.

Yeah cpu architecture is a bit complicated. It's not so much the raw ghz that your cpu can run at, there's all sorts of other factors. Definitely the average pc user isn't expected to know all that, but is it possible to find what cpu you have? If you click start, then run (or windows key and R) and type dxdiag, click yes for any questions, then it should say what CPU you have. I could probably explain it better if I knew exactly what you have

poision i still have no clue why you're not getting a job doing this stuff - you know way more about cpu architecture than me

Working on it, finding openings, at least around here without work experience is tough. I'll have some solid certs from college after next semester though, so that'll help

ah cool, glad to hear it

Just finished the Pieces of a Mirror quest in LoS2. I think I'm pretty far into the game now, maybe a little past halfway?

Lots of ups and downs these last few hours. I really, really loved the whole Toy Maker scenario, from the interactive story to the boss fight. Cool stuff, one of the highlights of the game for me.

The stealth maze (with Pan's brother) was horrible. I'm guessing this is where people draw the line when they talk about this game's stealth. It sucks when you know the solution to a stealth maze and it still feels unsafe. I have no idea how to not step on the dead leaves in at least two parts of (what I think is) the shortest route to the switch.

This game is massive, damn. Pity that the level design feels so confusing and disjointed. I enjoy traversing these areas, but I currently have no desire to sweep through that enormous world again just for collectable stuff. They nailed the look and feel of most Castlevania (castle) segments, so it's always a bummer when I have to literally come back to reality in the modern world. And the commando enemies are still a pain.

Also, this game has some really cool bosses. I don't think I fought a boss that I didn't enjoy so far.

Oh cool I didn't know the toymaker was in los2.  He's in LOS: Mirror of Fate but they never really explained him that well.  Now I know why they show him in the final cutscene as if to hint that he would be back.

That's pretty cool. :) I haven't played MoF yet. I heard both games were connected but I don't know a lot about the story.

Hooded Man done! I peeked a guide's table of contents just to see how far I am, and it looks like I am super close to the end. Not bad for 2 days.

Jesus, this game sure likes to ride those highs and lows... that was an awful segment, outside of (as usual) the bosses. Maybe I was tired, but I just don't like fighting the military enemies. Those big mechs firing at you from a distance... ugh. It's baffling that they put the worst parts of the game exactly in the modern areas, haha.

But as I said, the bosses were neat. Wouldn't mind a rematch vs. the Castlevania Trademark Mandatory Rival Who Has Your Moves.

No time to play tomorrow, but I will definitely finish this before the weekend's done.

Finished the game. I was in a hurry 'cause I had to do something, so I used a guide for one stupid bit where the game wants you to go somewhere but how you get there doesn't make a lot of sense (rubble blocking the pathway to the cathedral... apparently a lot of people get stuck there).

I actually really enjoyed the game for the most part. Maybe more than I should've considering all the flaws. It's very hit or miss, but the good parts are really good. And it felt like a big adventure, which is also LoS1's greatest merit IMO. I may give the first game another chance... I still suck at the combat, but who knows, maybe it'll click at some point!

The final boss fight was sweet. I went from completely baffled at his attacks to suddenly dodging almost everything by muscle memory. I had used all my healing items, so the only way I could heal was by hitting him with magic. That was intense. The Death fight was also cool. I actually thought that was the final boss and the game crashed just before the last phase. I was mad. Thankfully there was a checkpoint and I didn't lose any progress.

I only bought a couple of moves... my character is pretty much vanilla. Got 86K money that I don't know where to spend. Anything recommended?
I finally got a chance to try out the Mario Kart DLC last night. Really love what they did with the new courses, and 200 CC is insane.

it really is. i find myself wishing they had designed some tracks for it though, don't really care for having to brake
Yeah I know what you mean. I fall off courses so many times now because of how hectic it can get in certain corners. Makes N64 Rainbow Road more of a drag race than anything else too since it's there and gone so quickly. Kinda like it like that actually.

So I just bought Borderlands 1 off the flash sale. I picked it over 2 because a few people around here said it was better, and if I end up liking the series I'd rather just pick up the Game of the Year Edition for B2, or possibly the Handsome Jack Collection.

Either way, I have to wait for the damn PlayStation Network to come back fully online before I cancan download it and play it. Boo.
Just finished Paper Mario.  I was going to play some more axiom verge but I have to wait for my new laptop to be formatted and made ready for me.  If I download steam on the new laptop and sign in, then I believe my library will be downloadable, no?  But what about my saves?

I'm liking Borderlands so far. It partially feels like a discount Fallout 3, but the action is faster paced for sure. I went with the Hunter, because I have a soft spot for classes with animal familiars.

One thing I don't like is that I'm level 11 now, but level 2 enemies that I can kill with a single melee strike insist on attacking me in waves every time I go back to home base. Does this continue to be a thing?
I tried so hard to like borderlands.

Starting DuckTales Remastered in a few hours!
I like turtles.
Bet you're over The Moon.

pretty much. the enemies in any given area don't change based on your level. instead, eventually you'll move to different "home bases", and all enemies around you will be stronger

It really is :) The remix isn't bad either.
I enjoyed duck tales remastered.  The final boss fight was excellent.

I prefer the enemies not to scale, but I wish their AI was smart enough to realize that there is absolutely no point in attacking. It's just a nuisance.

And yeah Ducktales Remastered is pretty great. I love Wayforward's sprite work and they were at the top of their game for it.
