Post here your best moment in any of the metroid games.
Best: When I Was about 7,My dad said:
-Hey,Guess what?
I was like:
-Yes?
-Ta-Dah!!! *My dad showed me super metroid package*
I was like:
-Yaaaaayyy!!!!!
I was so happy i cried,I waited that game for a really long time.

Worst: I Never knew what was a Game genie,So i tried it in my emulator,And i used cheats, but i lost all my saves!!!
Thread title:
Best moment : Gettin' Metroid - Zero Mission, before my B-Day!! :D

Worst moment : For some reason my Metroid II game won't save even if I save it at a save point, even if I press the start button to save it. Crying or Very sad
Sam-Mag, the battery is most likely dead. Get someone with knowledge about this and have him replace it.
Best Moment: Hearing that there were going to be more Metroid games in the future (Prime and Fusion) :D

Worst Moment: Getting stuck for weeks/months (Can't remember how long) at Ridley in a 35-45 percent run in Super Metroid  Evil or Very Mad (It kinda turned me away from the game for a while since I wanted to get past him, but that was ages ago.)
What luck, there's french fry stuck in my beard.
Best Moment: Playing the original Metroid for the first time.  Not only did it introduce me to the video game series that I would love above them all, it also introduced me to video games.  Yay.

Worst Moment: The few days after I learned the 3D Metroid was going to be a FPS.  I was devastated--I hated FPS!  But I eventually learned to tolerate it, and, now that I own it, I can safely say I was a moron to ever doubt the greatness of the game.
Best: I'd have to say the moment in Fusion when Adam tells you that you need to alter the orbit of BSL in order to take out the X on SR388. That was so awesome, seeing him betray the Federation. Then, him calling you Lady.

Worst: Metroid 1, getting the missiles, then dying because of those (censored words for hours here) Zebo!!!!!
Best: Beating Metroid Prime... I was so happy.

Worst: Encountering Chozo Ghosts for the first time. The music, the random nature of them and the fact that you can't track them scared me, and put me off the game for months...
Best: Being totally freaked out while playing Metroid Prime when a Metroid attacked me from behind. AAAAAGETITOFF!!!!!

Worst: See above. Also, Chozo Ghosts. THEY FREAKING SUCK!
Best: Playing Fusion for the first time.
Worst: Breaking my GBA after forgetting to save when I turned off my GBA (Pathetic, aren't I?).
(user is banned)
Best: Buying Super Metroid
Worst: I forgot one Missile Package in Metroid Prime and I even don't know, which one I didn't got.

Worst and Best: Hearing about Prime. Like others, I hate FPS's. But I read about it and it said stuff about a First-Person Adventure, so I thought, what the hell. I bought it, and I'm sure glad I did. One of the best Metroid games.
Best Moment: Beating Nightmare in my 1% game on MF after dying some 30+ times to him.  My heart was literally doing 100 MPH from the time I offically killed him til I was able to successfully save my game.

Worst Moment: Getting Nightmare down to low health (his body was red) only to flickerbat up my space jumping and get killed.  That was certainly not a good moment I tell ya.
Best moment: When I finally got my courage to fight Omega Pirate on MP

Worst: Dieing 3 times to said Omega Pirate [first half, then only one round remaining] I had to master the dash jump (the one used for Sequence Breaking) it,amazing, helped me dodge trooper shots.

Oh, I also understand why people are scared of metroids, I had a bad experience...

EDIT: Sorry about that person below me...Avatar changed.
OMG! MY AVATAR!!!!!!!!!! Evil or Very Mad
soaking through
I was happy when I got from Ridley to the end and finished in under two hours in my 1% Fusion run, and I was sad when I died to Elite Pirate - Elite Pirate - after not saving for ages.
red chamber dream
That avatar even looks cool inverted.

Getting far and not saving always sucks.
Zero, that avatar looks awesome, too. :)  When I picked mine, I couldn't decide between that one or the one I have.

EDIT:On topic, I liked when i first beat a 15% run.  It was hard work.
I can't think of any horrible momonets right now but here's on that would suck.  Hard mode.  15%.  get 16th item. accidentally save.  start over Twisted Evil
Best: The entirety of Metroid Prime. One of the best gaming experiences of my life. The battles with Meta Ridley and Metroid Prime were fantastic.

Worst: Metroid Prime coming to an end.
Best: Learning how to dash-jump
Worst: Learning how to operate a VCR
Best: Turning on my SP expecting to play Tetris and realizing that it was Metroid 2 in the slot. I got it at ebay, so I didn't know that it was already there, because my sister and parents told me nothing.

Worst: Hard to say. Maybe realizing that you needed to switch to the X-Ray visor for more than ten seconds after Omega Pirate disappeared, in order to see him again. That's why I had to fight him four times, before I found out how to hit him...
Best moment: Meta Ridley's flight. As he approaches you when you're at the Chozo Statues in the Temple. Right before the fight actually starts. I fell in love with his looks right there and then. He looks so awesome at that moment.

Worst moment: Kraid in Super Metroid. I just suck at him. It's something about how he moves and what he does. I keep having trouble trying to kill him. Not to mention trying to Quick Kill him. I suck so bad at that.
Viking
Precursor
Let's see...

Best moment would be getting Metroid Prime.

Worst? Finally managing to get through that room in Kraid in Zero Mission (on Hard) without activating the Zip Lines, just to get killed one minute later without getting the opportunity to save on that side...
Best: Getting through Super Metroid ON MY OWN with NO help whatsoever... on my first time, saved outside Mother brains room

Worst: I goto school and my brother kills mother brain whilst Im away using my save game.....
I have another best moment since I finally got SM ( :D ) off EBay.

I managed to beat the game I had no clue about in over 7 hours with over 70% in my completion (sp?)

That's the best I've done when I got a new Metroid game, when I finished Fusion (My first..) I had only 20-30 percent of the items and beat it..Which now that I think about it is good also...
Best: Getting 57:06 for Normal 100% on Metroid Zero Mission (it was like 4:00 AM to boot...I'm suprised the old lady downstairs didn't hear me cheering  Wink )

Worst: Dying to Yakuza in a 1% single segment Metroid Fusion run for the umpteenth thousand time.
