Eh oh well.... i already redid it because i was in fact screwed, not realizing it until the end.... 1 hour 2 minutes.... nothing close to a record, but i guess a adequate first (or i guess second really) try for 15%. Thanks for the input tomatobob. Also, it allowed me to think of a better way to finish the game, as i found out not ever getting super missiles makes it take much longer in certain portions.
Yes I know this topic is old and yes I've read the whole thing. I've never achieved 15% because I can't get past Ridley. I've watched many videos and I can't seem to grasp how people control what Ridley does, because they go through the whole fight without Ridley ever making any crappy moves against them. The closest I ever got was using the toenail strategy, but not matter what I do he ends up doing the tailspin attack. I've tried attacking slowy, I've made sure that I always stay under the toenails, but he still ends up doing it. What am I missing? The number of attempts I have on this same file has to be at least 100.
Figures. I beat Ridley right after posting. Didn't die at all on MB, killed iron ted on the second try, but just got killed by the grey pirates. I should have this wrapped up before long.
I did it! My first 15%. Ridley was the only thing that gave me any real headache. I used the items suggested in the official 15% guide. Now I finally have ending #7, but I don't see myself trying for ending #8 any time soon.
