This hack is canceled, sorry but I just don't have the time or the inspiration to finish.

I'll leave the original hack (Justin's Super Metroid) here if you still want to try it.

Like you said, not much different. Took me a little bit of extra time since I kept trying the regular SM SBs and finding them blocked. As it plays now I guess I would call it an easy version of regular SM. Some of the rooms you changed looked nice, but there weren't nearly enough of them. Too many of the items were in their regular places, more variety would be nice.

Anyway I am now making this into a new hack.
My idea is to make all the expansions give you much less EXAMPLE missiles supers and PBs will give you one each.
E-tanks will give you 25 health each but to make things better there will be way more expansions to find and many very well hidden.
Enemies will have slightly more HP (not ridiculously more) and do more damage.
Also only the required power ups will be easily available everything else will be hidden.
I kinda want it play like knytt stories so i am planning on opening almost all the routes from the beginning and having several of the required power ups in several different locations so you can go exploring the way you want to.
However this will still stay very true to SM and I am not planning on changing the map layout.
I will be changing a lot more rooms however to accommodate the many hidden expansions.

I like this, this is a good start off for you. Trust me you will get better over time. I'm still a noob (sorta) and I'm progressing slowly, but you have potential. Good Job. grin new
