Also, due to my lack of monitoring equipment, you won't hear the awesome bass unless you've got half-decent headphones/speakers.
Taste of things to come.

Could use some more synth accompaniment, but really good overall.
Yep, I'm trying to come up with a lead synth sound I like to go over the top.

Although If I get my guitar back I might just use that instead!
I like turtles.
Pretty catchy.
I want to do a track with vocals. Now I can't sing, but I DO have a vocoder. I just can't seem to be able to get a sound that preserves the words through the synthesis. Also, I'll have to write some goddamn words!

You got the beat and bass techniques down, but you might wanna improve on the ambiance effects. I suggest listening to some old stuff from Jean Michel Jarre for inspiration.
I struggle with ambience because it takes time I'm not inclined to give and decent monitoring equipment that I can't afford :P
Eh, monitoring equipment?
As in speakers. I do it all on headphones atm. When I'm nearly done I bounce it, listen to it on a few different systems, tweak and rebounce.
Hm... I guess that would make a difference. But I'm talking more about the choice of background synth and sound effects, not necessarily stuff like over-the-top panning and all that jazz.
Yeah the background synths are just some vsts. Nothing special. I was quite surprised with how nice they sounded compared to most others out there.
