My only half-feasible explanation is that there's possibly a "data overload". Some hack topics were said to crash because of excessive picture use.

Regarding the SMILE Help Thread, I believe it's broken once when someone used unusual colored fonts and once when someone attached several pictures in a single thread. I think both times were by relatively new members? Unfortunately I've not noticed any other similarities between instances of thread-breakery.
I'm using MSN. The only thing I might've done is shorten some of the name/descriptions of some of my favorites/bookmarks. But I'm sure I've been here after I've done that. And I don't remember if I changed the one for this forum or not. But I'm betting that's what it was. Because after re-added the bookmark the name/description was different.
Why did I mess with the names/descriptions? My forum bookmarks were showing up on the left side of the screen.... And I'm used to having them show up on the right.
