You do realize that a different developer has made most of them, right? One team made M1-3, one did MP1-3, one did MZM and Hunters... Not sure where Fusion fits in there, but the point stands.

But put your fears at ease--the interview states that it will be accessible to average gamers, not hardcore insanely hard, but might have harder modes too.

the team who handled m1-3 was r&d1 which also made fusion and zm.

only the prime games are by outside devs (hunters by nst and pinball by fuse games)
I have confidence that R&D1 will be able to keep the Metroid feel even though this game is more action-oriented than previous entries.
I thought R&D1 became the Super Mario Club
Whatever their name is now doesn't matter, the point is that a number of people from the original R&D1 that worked on Metroid, M2 and SM are on the team making Other M, if I've read the interviews correctly.

they're outside devs in the sense they aren't in the japanese offices and work very differently.
A true hard mode is something to look forward too....Hardest problems I've ever had before was Boost Guardian in Echoes on Hard and the ending to Prime 3 100% on Hard.
