How easy would it be for someone who "rents" TaigaForum to implement a reputation system, or a reporting system?
a customer wouldn't be able to do it themselves, but nate and i certainly could. most any feature a customer asks for would probably be worth implementing.
Would it be possible to add functionality for Ctrl+B, I, and U altering text when the cursor is within the reply box? Perhaps another letter for spoilers too?
it would be possible but i don't want to do it because the access key combination is different for every browser (no doze browsers ctrl for their access key, for instance).
could also just not use access keys and instead check every key press but that's nonstandard and messy and i don't like it. tf is not google docs.
if you buy a forum and still want it though, i'd be happy to help. ;)
would be really cool to redo all of the javascript in jquery or something. of course i don't even know if jquery has a keyboard shortcuts api but i would be surprised if it didn't.
lol it would be cool in theory but using jquery is like summoning a demon from hell. it will work for you but will fucking devour your soul in the process.
The biggest problem I have is the "+/- size" expands the view box but overlaps other messages. So right now If I was trying to respond to Arkarian's post about jquery and I hit expand I wouldn't be able to see his post.
Something else that would be nice would be colorization of quotes (or even bb code blocks) within your response box. Maybe my eyesight is getting worse but I notice I have a really hard time quoting people and typing a response. I sometimes can't tell if I'm accidentally modifying a quote or correctly replying to it.
I haven't seen anyone else do it on the internet. Visual Studio's intellisense and colorization is kind of an example of the style of coloring I'm talking about. It makes it extremely easy to figure out what type of syntax each element is.
I would also love outlining to (those little [-] on the left) but I won't get my hopes up =P
Would it be possible to add a feature that takes you to the last unread post in private threads? Unless I'm just missing it, I seem to just have the 'last post' option, which means scrolling back through threads.
can also bookmark your favorite private threads (whether as a browser bookmark or as a bookmark on tf's mainbar) and add #unread to the end of the url.
It may just be me being a retard, but I meant to say FIRST unread. I can click on the last post's details under 'Last Post', or on the icon (page with the green arrow), but they both take me to the end of the thread, not the first unread post.
