You post in a new thread (don't close the tab)
Someone replies to your post. (Focus wasn't on that tab)
unread[x] updates and shows the unread post (in it's own tab)
You move to the tab that shows the post (Not the tab displaying unread threads)
You post a reply to the reply. (Can close the tab now)
Refresh (manually) the unread[x] tab

It still shows that thread as unread (Under the replier's post not yours), even though it's YOUR post that's the last one there and you were at the bottom of the page (certain of having read everything).

sorry, can't reproduce. see attached video. their post shouldn't be marked unread if you're in the thread when they post ("don't close the tab").

Hrmm... I KNOW it happened (otherwise I wouldn't have reported it)...

The only thing I can think that was different is the second tab you used was in the Gaming directory.
I meant have that BE the unread[x] tab so you have Test thread open in tab 1, and unread[x] in tab 2, tab 3 is something else.

Someone replies to Test (didn't make note if (1) was displayed in tab 1, your focus is on tab 3).
Tab 2 automatically updates, and shows "1 new post"
You change focus back to tab 1, and reply (meaning you've viewed the post that tab 2 is talking about)
Tab 1 is now unimportant outside of "you've read all the thread"
Change focus to tab 2.
Manually refresh tab 2.
Tab 2 should state that there is still an unread post in Test even though that's incorrect. (this is declaration of the bug)

That's what happened to me as best as I could describe it.

if that thread became unread then that's the bug. threads you're on the last page of shouldn't be marked unread no matter what. if it can't be reproduced reliably then i'm going to chalk it up to a fluke. otherwise let me know.

That's exactly what it wasn't.
Was on the last page, made the post (still on last page), checked unreads and it said that thread was unread.

If you can't reproduce it with the 3-tab directions then I'll join you on chalking it up to a fluke.

if you see it again be sure to check which post it said was in unread. especially interested to see whether it's on the last page (though it must have been if it was a brand new thread).

Super Secret Area - Dead Ahead!

I have a small bug. When searching with Ctrl+F, the screen usually auto scrolls to fit the found word either at the top or bottom of the page, but the blue bar at the top of the forum (with the pencil and links on) obscures the found word. You have to then scroll upward to actually see it.

just pushed out a minor update with some speed improvements hopefully and one minor visible change: you now address multiple recipients of a private thread like nate, breakdown, mikwuyma instead of nate%breakdown%mikwuyma. this is obviously more natural. if you want to send a pm to a user with a comma in their username, just write it like daniel\, lord bahamut (with a backslash before the comma). thanks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I was under the impression that everybody not always seeing the same avatar at the same time was sort of the definition of a random avatar and that by the same definition several people can see the same avatar at the same time, being that it is in fact random.

His avatar isn't "supposed" to be anything, so why is this weird?

recently we changed it so that for any given post everyone will see the same avatar. iirc the only reason it wasn't like that in the first place was because nate thought it wasn't feasible.
