Even though I'd only just visited the forum? I typed forum.metroid2002.com, and came straight to the index - would that not count as 'refreshing'? It'd surely show the new posts up as before..? It seems to if you leave it for a longer period of time.

think i understand what you're saying. do you mean loading the index for the first time that day or something, and having the unread counter show unread posts, but none of the board icons are green?

When viewing a mod or admin's profile, online users that don't have groups are all in that color. This happens in all skins.

A couple of things that haven't been responded to:
Are we going to have the favorite metroid game back?
The forum link on the front page is the old one.

EDIT: When the members list is sorted, it just sorts the current page, not the whole list. I think this should be changed.

it's possible but probably not for a while. that would involve letting admins create custom fields which isn't high on our priority list.

the link points to http://forum.metroid2002.com/, which redirects here. that's fine - m2k2.taigaforum.com and forum.metroid2002.com are effectively the same thing.

Why do you get an alert when you receive a pm but not when you get a reply to a pm you sent? It just always displays 'messages 0'. Isn't a reply considered as a pm?

Yes. If you come back after an extended period, the icons appear to display fine, but if you leave, and then come back in half an hour, the unread jumps up almost instantly, but no icons are present.

The forum has always resized avatars. You can change the size they appear under 'Appearance' at the top.

For some odd reason, using wiiOpera is pissing me off. It is running very slow when I am on here. It took wiiOpera more then two minutes trying to load google. It's probably my internet. Toozin, are you having the same problem?

ok, now i'm not sure what you mean again lol. the forum index does not update live, so if you open the forum index, click "mark all read" (which turns the icons gray), go do something else for half an hour and then come back, the unread counters will have increased if there have been new posts on the forum. this is because the unread counters always update live on every page, without reloading.
however, the gray icons beside the boards will remain gray, as the forum index does not update live. you'll have to reload the page for them to turn green.

this behavior has not been changed. the smf forum resized all avatars to 120x120 pixels and taiga forum does the same. as quietus mentioned, you can set avatars to display at anywhere from 64x64 to 120x120 px.
i like 72x72 personally.

not quite sure what you mean, but atm taiga forum does not support rotating avatars, as when you link to an off-site avatar, that image is actually uploaded to taiga's server and grabbed from there every time someone tries to load it.
but have no fear - we're going to release something even better than off-site rotating avatars soon!

if it took more than two minutes to load google.com, your connection was slow at that time. very unlikely that it's a problem with wiiopera.

assuming you're not actually "in" the pm (that is, have a tab with it loaded) when you receive the reply, then this is a bug. i've seen it before but i haven't been able to replicate it on the development server yet. once that happens it's dead meat.

I think I just assumed it worked and moved on.

What probably happened is that I missed the save button, and it seems on wiiopera if you click in empty space it jumps you to the center of the page, which is also what happens after posting/editing.

just pushed out a new version for everyone. be sure to force reload once to make sure the changes take effect. new tonight:

- caching issues (unread posts/pms not showing up) gone hopefully
- browser scrolls down when hitting edit or spoiler buttons if already scrolled all the way down to avoid annoying manual scrolling
