I disagree. There are still many missing features and minor design problems. Those are addable, sure, but it's going to take time, so until then, it's not quite "better" IMO.

As for additional features, once customizable hotkeys and the shortcut bar are finished, that's gonna be a major plus for me.

I dislike the new forum thing to be honest. I might grow to like it over time, but ATM I would prefer the old set up. :/

Another major issue (I know you're working on it, but I still want to point it out) is the lack of themes. I have six options and they all look like shit. :/

the appearance menu changes depending on what type of page you're currently viewing. if you go into a board or topic, it should have more options.

Found something odd. When I go into the social topic it will say I have 1 unread post, but that's not true and clicking it will reveal that there are no unread posts for me (says 0 everywhere else).

smf is Simple Machines Forum, the previous system used. I've never heard of the usergroup e pluribus unum, but I suspect it's just some empty usergroup used to test the invisible groups feature.

btw could it be possible to change the style of the forum without having to be logged ? Or at least have a better default style ?

I'm pretty sure E Pluribus Unum is a usergroup of a top secret organization planning to overtake the forum and plunge it into chaos for selfish financial gain.

Also the default style is hopefully going to change at some point, but there are still a lot of things needed to be done.

e pluribus unum is a group that was hidden under smf but isn't hidden now because taiga forum doesn't have hidden usergroups yet.

you can't change the style when not logged in. miikii can definitely be improved though, so we welcome any suggestions you might have!

Nice job on the site, but I dicovered an odd issue. When I log in, the first letters of a word appear on the top-right corner. I had to click it to find out where it led me: private messages. But the link appears like 'mea'. Whats up with that? I've tried Firefox 3.0.10 and IE8. Also, sidescrolling doesn't help. And when I write this post, words disappear of the right side of my screen. Should I change forum style?

you shouldn't have to change the style. do you have javascript enabled in your browser? also, what's your screen resolution?

Hey, I tried changing screen resolution to 1024x768 and everything shows up just fine. I was beginning to wonder where 'online users' went. Thanks for the tip!

if anyone's interested, taiga forum basically requires the browser window to be at least 800 px wide.

Anything that doesn't look like a prompt screen. If you want suggestions, there are a lot you can get by looking at the old smf.

so you don't like the font then? that's a legitimate complaint, and i'm working on a new dark style that will use a similar font to the old smf dark style. stay tuned.

also, keep in mind you change the style to one of five others, though homebrew was designed to intentionally look like a prompt screen. ;)

Weird that everyone is calling it 'taiga forum', while on top it still says Metroid2002, and even the URL has 'm2k2' in it. And taiga sounds kinda like a Chinese sex site.

You can't erase private messages (Access Denied message).

Also, I think the "Profile/Appearance/View Unread Posts" bar on the top should float as well.

Also, when you're editing a post, everytime the page refreshes, you lose what you just typed in.
